Let's start making a candle with our cross wooden candle wick! It will have a smooth and beautiful flame, bringing a cozy and romantic atmosphere in your room and helping to relieve stress and anxiety. Making candle gift for your family, lovers and friends, perfect decorations in living room, bedroom, cafe, engagement, wedding, etc.

How to make candles with our cross wicks?

1. Carefully assemble two pieces of wood chips in cross direction. (Although the wood chip will not crack easily, it is better to assemble it carefully. Since we cut the grooves on the wood chip, it will be not that easy to insert. But also after inserted, it will be a firm structure, not easy to be apart.)

2. Insert the wood wick to a metal base.

3. Place the wood wick with metal base in the middle of a candle tin.

4. Pour some melted soy wax, and wait until the wax cools and solidifies. (You just need to hold the wick when pouring wax. No need to use a sticker to fix the metal base to the bottom of tin, as the weight of the base and wick will just ensure it stay upright.)

5. Trim the wick to a proper height. About 3~5mm (1/8~3/16 inch) pokes out the surface is recomended. (If too low, the wick will be hard to lit and flame will be weak and small. If too high, the flame will be unstable and flickering.)

About the wick width: Our 10mm width wick should be slightly smaller. But please no worries, it's a perfect size for your homemade candles. Through our testing, our wick can perfectly fit 8cm diameter candle tins, that means it‘s suitable for most sizes of candles tins on the market.

These burn a coconut soy wax beautifully in a 3 inch vessel. I soaked them in an organic olive oil before use, they are a little delicate so take your time assembling. I recommend pre measuring and cutting before you pour. I did not do this and tried to cut the whole wick in one snip, it splintered and ruined half the wick. Ended up snipping all 4 sides of the wick then gently bend and twist until it came off. Now I know. A new concept that works awesome love this wick
