Worth it for the price. Strong enough to bring in big fish. I’ve been using 30ld test line with this rig and no breakage. Tie the hook about 3” away. Sometimes catfish will just pull the bait ball and miss the hook.

These work well. I’ve caught a bunch of carp with these using pack bait. I’ve also used them to hold stink bait for catfish and that worked well. The center wire could could be stronger and some of my older ones have some rust but overall not too bad for the money.
