The freezer compartment was cold but the refrigerator section wasn’t. I determined the evaporator fan motor was turning but very, very slow. This was just what I needed to get it going. Easy install by watching YouTube video and the price was right.

This arrived a day early, thank you Amazon! We were without a refrigerator for a week, simply because all other parts suppliers including but not limited to Frigidaire themselves were issuing a part that does not even match the appliance. This was simple to replace and worked immediately. Thank God, because it's 90° out today and the coolers weren't cutting it. Thank you to whomever is responsible for a timely delivery and a reasonable cost.

First of all I do no recommend you repair the freezer fan this way.I broke open the front cover in the freezer in one large piece and had access to the fan right away.Removed the 2 screws holding the fan and removed the existing fan without taking apart the freezer. For the 2 screws you need a 1/4 inch driver and two hands to remove the screws from behind and disconnect the electric cable. Make sure you unplug the Fridge. The motor mount has only two 1/4 screws to remove and replace with the new motor. One drop of oil on each screw makes them easy to remove. Then when the new motor was installed I placed the cover that I broke out into position and used one short 1/4" sheet metal screw into one of the existing slots (holes) and the cover held in perfectly. I could have drilled one hole to insert a holding screw if that had failed. Only problem was I replaced the mount while the freezer was still frozen and it was ice cold on my hands and face. Worked great but the right way is to defrost it and take the back plate, light and ice maker out of the freezer. The reason I risked breaking the old motor out was one brand new plastic cover costs only $16.00. No one ever orders this part so there is no demand and there were many covers in their parts inventory.
