I installed this in our back pasture and it only takes a cow testing it once and then they stay away from the fence. No escapees anymore. Just buy a ground rod, drive it into the ground and connect the negative clip to that and the positive clip to the fence and you're done. Easy to install, seems strong and good value for the price.

We have this plugged in so I can’t say how the solar power works. This has been running all winter - through negative temperatures and an ice storm. It’s worked continuously and consistently the entire time. I’ve had no chickens escape and no predators get into my fence.

The instructions are poor - the writer assumes that the user can read his or her mind - would be nice to know what symbol is on and which is off we are not mind readersGeneral hints at how to use it are not at all helpfulCan't tell if it is working or not would be nice if there were some way the machine could flash a light if it is properly connected or if there is a shortI've installed electric fences before with no issue - finally had to get a fence tester which is yet to arrive

Easy to use, love the built in attachment for T posts. Gives a good shock and worth the money. I have horses who one of which is an escape artist with the electric fence and problem solved! Make sure to use an actual ground rod minimum 3’ deep for best results.

I am pleased with this unit as it's staying steady at 4kv which is enough to keep the cows home. But- There's a Product design flaw and it's so obvious I can't understand how it was overlooked! It's designed to be hung on a t-post and we all know the distance from the top of the post to the ground rod which is 6 or 8" above the ground. The included ground wire alligator connector to the ground rod is all of 3'3". Obviously I had to either go buy another longer wire or use insulated wire to connect which I did. There are no holes to hang this unit on a wood post just the molded t-post hole. I made it work to hang it, not the most dependable mounting for sure. I do like the power it carries though with these adjustments it would be a lot of bang for the buck.
