It was awesome. Just hatched about 20 something monarch caterpillars. They hatched too late and needed to come inside to cocoon and emerge. I was able to release them - as it warmed a little bit - hopefully they managed to find nectar and a safe place til it warms up better. But it was a great container to watch them go through the life cycle.

I must really like this mesh plant protector because originally I purchased the large one, then bought a second large one and then I purchased a third in the medium size. I have all sorts of critters in my yard (insects/bugs/birds/rabbits/groundhogs/deer and who knows what else). I wanted something to protect my tomato plants and other plants. I didn't want bugs on them or animals eating them. This really did the trick!! I will be packing them up soon for the winter, but besides being a little dirty, they are in good condition for next year.

I live in the city and the squirrels are terrible. This is perfect for keeping those nasty rats out of my vegetables. This is large enough to accommodate a big pot with a tall tomato plant (or eggplant, in this case). It’s incredibly easy to assemble and use, it literally just pops up and it’s ready to go - and folds completely down for storage, takes up practically no space. It’s very well made: strong zipper, well-sewn seams, no sagging panels. It’s performs exactly as I hoped - excellent in allowing light, rain, AND airflow to the plant while keeping the critters out. For the price, it’s a fantastic find - I bought an extra to have two for next year. Definitely recommended.

I purchased this a year ago so I could have ladybugs help with an aphid problem with some of my plants and it worked wonderfully. I expected it to be a one-time-use product. I was wrong. This year is the year of cicadas and they love my large pot of herbs. I was surprised to see that a very large pot fit comfortably in this. I tried using a netting bag originally to cover it but it didn't stop the cicadas from getting in and it was very difficult to get access each time. I was researching other solutions when this popped back up and I figured I would see if it fit. It's a year old and it's still in great shape. I used it outside last year and am doing the same this year. It hasn't ripped and the zipper still works. Safe to say, I'm very happy. It's still outrageously expensive for what is essentially some mesh, thin wire, and a zipper. Otherwise, it would be five stars.

I purchased a Restcloud 59" Outdoor Mesh Plant Enclosure for my strawberry plants. I had protected them with wire caging, but birds and chipmunks kept getting the berries. This mesh enclosure covers top and sides with a cloth bottom. It will allow sun/rain through, but not pests, birds or chipmunks. The enclosure set up within 30 seconds as a pop up with a zipper from top to bottom. Stands just shy of 5 ft so when opened, I can easily get at ripe fruit. It's well constructed. Very happy with this cost effective enclosure.Update: Make sue to weigh bottom down. I had planters in & it blew over during winds.

I opened this when I received it and was impressed with the size and complete coverage from pests. I tried to put it back into the box, as it does advertise as "easy to store" and there was NO way to get it to reduce to store it. I could not keep a product that took up so much space when not in use, so returned it.It was given 3 stars for the sole reason that it is difficult to reduce to store when not in use.

I was looking for a way to protect my cacti from extreme sun out here in the desert and other weather conditions. These seem to be about perfect so far. These cacti don't have much problem with animals & pests, though it does keep them nicely protected from all that as well. The overall presentation looks nice and neat, whereas most plant tent solutions tend to stand out and look kind of ugly. The netting looks nice and comes out to about 30% shading which gives the plants great light while taking the edge off the sun extremes, and you can still see your plants well. If you were to buy shade cloth separately it would look cheaper and be messier in its arrangement. I hope they keep doing this model instead of adding the transparent plastic siding like they do on their smaller butterfly enclosure models. In the winter I plan on putting some plastic tarp across the top to protect from rain/freezing as it can freeze out here. Some of the negative reviews on here are silly, talking about them tipping over in the wind, when they had nothing but little seedlings in it. Yes, of course, if you don't have enough weight in this thing it will fall over, that's physics. But the normal potted plants you'd stick in this are sufficient to stop any issues. Out here we have extreme winds some times, so I got wooden bases cut at Home Depot to place inside and that helps stabilize things, though it's not really necessary since my plants are heavy enough already. If you really wanted to keep these down, you could add more weight, such as putting down a layer of cement pavers.

I can’t grow weeds, but I decided to try to grow some basil in a pot on the patio. It was going great until the bugs discovered my beautiful plant - holey leaves! I put a small produce mesh bag over the pot and that stopped the bugs, but my plant soon outgrew the mesh bag so I started looking for something larger but not so large as to take up the whole patio. This outdoor plant enclosure was perfect. The holes in the mesh were larger than the fine mesh veggie bag I had been using, but no bugs have gotten through. The large zipper opening is very convenient for watering and turning the pots. I have two 8” pots in it right now, but I could easily fit several more. Since I am known for my lack of gardening skills, I have amazed friends with my fresh basil and I definitely couldn’t have done it without this enclosure! Two green thumbs up!!
