Having used the S.E.PEAK 22kN Auto Locking Ladder Hook for the past two weeks, I'm impressed with its performance. Strength and reliability are non-negotiable for me as someone who walks up to 10 large dogs simultaneously. This carabiner has exceeded my expectations in both regards.Pros:Strong and Durable: After a previous carabiner failed under pressure, I was looking for something much more resilient. This carabiner holds up remarkably well against the pulling force of the dogs.Lightweight Design: Despite its strength, it's incredibly lightweight, making it easy to carry around on long walks.Convenient Auto-Locking Feature: The auto-locking mechanism is a standout. Very lightweight and seems to be fairly strong. Seems to be able to hold a decent amount of weight. Don’t quite know about shock load yet though

This was purchased not for safety use, but as a pull up bar attachment for resistance bands It is definitely overkill for this job as they will never be subjected to more than 200 pounds, so I can't complain about the price.A fairly large pull up bar is 1.5" diameter so the gate opening of 1.78" is more than enough to fit around any. The gate itself feels well engineered, and overall design inspires confidence. 5,000 lbs capacity is impressive. All in a all well made, cool piece of gear that has many uses in addition to safety and climbing.

It holds serious body weight on a rope while maintaining ease of function. I am very happy with my purchase. It is not inexpensive but cost is the last thing on my mind when safety is the issue. I recommend wholeheartedly.
