It's weirdly pretty, but that is besides the point. I needed a very small, but reliable clip for an ankle cuff that would minimize the distance between the ankle and the gym weights, in order to maximize range of motion, while still being reliably strong. This is an expensive solution, but I sure do like the little thing. And it's a whole lot cheaper than buying $50 ankle weights.

Well, Petzl quality on top. But 15 eur for small hook ok if it is made in France, not in China. It is not made in France. This is very confusing price.

TL;DR: great product, solid purchase for the money, it’s sexyFull Review:For the style, features and brand reliability, this may very well be the best accessory carabiner under $15 on the market.PROS: The construction is tight and smooth. There’s no play in the gate and it opens and closes with precision. The gate spring is strong and responsive. The add-on accessories fit firmly, function as intended and can be easily added or removed whenever needed. The ever so slightly rough finish on the coating is just enough to give a little bit of grip when handling it and seems to provide a small amount of friction on whatever you hook it to. The end result is it doesn’t seem to slip and slide as easily as other carabiners with a polished surface. It’s kind of stylish in a tech wear sort of way but I’m not sure if that’s intentional or just my interpretation of it. It has a strength limit of 882lbs, which is wild, and it’s backed by a 3-year warranty.CONS: I can’t say for certain but I think maybe given many years of use + repeated removals of the rubberized anti-rotation bar accessory (the bottom object to the right of the carabiner in the 1st photo), it may eventually start to stretch out and loosen on the narrow end of it, or maybe even fail altogether years down the line. Or I could be completely wrong about it. It’s far too early to tell. I will also say that the Petzl Mino skews a little on the smaller side, coming in at roughly 1.25x2.4”, and may be unfavorably small for people with huge hands if you intend to attach/detach this product multiple times throughout the day. Like if you were using it as a keychain, for example. That’s not really a true con but more of a warning.Personally, I bought it to use it for my keys. It’s definitely overkill for my application. Who needs a carabiner with a load limit of 882lbs for their keys? Sure, I could’ve bought some cheap $2 Chinese carabiner that would probably work fine but I wanted something with a little more style, from a trustworthy brand, and with some available options if I find myself wanting use it for something more than holding keys.Ultimately, this is a great purchase as a keychain, or for hooking your water bottle/umbrella/gloves/whatever to a backpack or other object. I think it’s a standout for Every Day Carry enthusiasts or people that enjoy a beautiful marriage of function and form without breaking the bank. The black-and-white design has a slightly cyberpunk/tech ninja vibe that makes it a good fit for a lot of modern aesthetics, too. This thing would look quite sexy in a blackout EDC setup. For $15, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
