The loop its VERY strong. My husband has pliers and such (as a mechanic) but nothing has helped put them on. We saw there is a tool some bought with these in order to put them on.You WILL need that tool

Heavy duty BUT very difficult to put on wire cage. the start of the circular attachment wire to close to the spring and to short making it impossible to put on. I used round key rings then put it on my cage

I inherited a cockatoo parrot that has free range during the day but needs to be secured at night. She's very smart, works great, easy to use. Will give an update in a week after she's seen me use them all daily. So far, no issue but she will be let in and out of it at least twice a day. Durable, easy to use.
