I got this as a travel cage, or a temporary cage for my birds while I clean their big cages. The travel cage is pretty flimsy, and the doors do not stay shut. I know they came with door clips but I have no idea how they even work on this cage.If you buy this, I urge you to drill a few holes in the bottom plastic and zip tie the wire cage part to the bottom of the cage. The normal way the wires fit on the bottom aren't strong enough to support carrying the cage by the top handle. The cage will come apart in half if you do not make these modifications.I have cats, so these modifications are necessary for my bird's safety. If you have dogs or cats, or any predator animals as pets in your household please zip tie the bottom and wire parts of the cage together, and order some different door seals/locks as well.

I bought this to use as a travel cage for one lovebird. It is fine for that, but prepare to buy zip ties to secure the base to the top, and the roof to the main cage. Also, the bars are fragile and can break easily, so keep that in mind. One of the bars separated from the base on mine. I successfully hot-glued it back into place. I do like the fact that there are two doors, and they are a decent size. Infact, the main reason I bought this travel cage, was for the 2 doors. Other than that, it's pretty crappy!

I have two parakeets and I'll use this travel cage to transport them back and forth to the vet. Although it didn't come with instructions, if you've assembled a bird cage before you won't have any problems with this one.Three sides of the cage were assembled and I had to add the fourth side and then the top. The built in hooks that the fourth side snapped into were extended and they remained extended a bit into the cage after i added the fourth side (the built in hooks on the other three sides had been bent down at the factory after those sides were added). Since this small cage will be used as a transport cage (and my birds often thrash around a bit when they are being transported) and because the wire gauge of this cage is thinner (and seems sharper) than the wire in my full size cage, I ended up using a pair of pliers and bent down those hook ends myself. (My birds don't travel except to the vet or in an emergency and so, as I mentioned, they are stressed then and do thrash around - if your birds are used to traveling and don't thrash around, those connecting hooks may not be an issue for you).

We are a proud budgie parent and being a bird parent comes with a cost, you have to restrict traveling. We decided that we should take our budgies with us if we needed to travel and there was this portable bird cage that came to the rescue. The cage is easy to assemble and very intuitive, although would have been better if a manual had been provided. The cage material is not very sturdy and would bend if you wanted to, yet with the weight, including food and the bird, it would carry it is durable enough. Of course, it is for casual use hence do not expect it to be your primary cage. It is lightweight too, and does not feel any pressure on my figures when carry it.It is big enough for the bird to move inside and still small enough to be carried in the middle of the back seat.Although, it will take a week or two for my bird to be fully accustomed to it he already starting going on it.Overall it is a good product and I recommend it.

This was a little difficult to assemble at first, but it was sturdy once I got it put together.
