My son and fish in the ocean a lot and we needed some of these higher-quality swivels so we tried this brand. They are very reasonably priced and work well. The eyes are not perfectly circular from welding or manufacturing but for the price they are more than circular enough. The swivels rotate as they should and minimize line twist. We like them.

These are high quality swivels for sure. Without cutting one open, they appear to have a ball sitting in a cup on the swivel end and it does move smoothly compared to your typical run of the mill swivel. I do not believe this is a "ball bearing" in the traditional since. But - they are very heavy duty, swivel well, and I will be suing them on my trolling rigs.

I got these to tie leaders for ice fishing. Have used several of them a few times and they are great. So far no rust has formed and move freely. For the cost, you cannot beat this deal.

These swivels are ideal for tying to the end of leaders with hooks; they allow fast replacement of bait hooks (if you have a snap swivel on the end of your fishing line). I can move between a treble hook and a worm hook with ease, and I can do all my leader/line tying at home before hitting the lake. The swivels have excellent swiveling action: smooth and responsive and help to keep my line from twisting while fishing. I got the smallest size (#1) as I like to use light tackle for the fishing I do (trout and pan fish). The swivels look to be well made and have performed well so far; I haven’t seen any ‘weak points’ like I have with other swivels I have owned. I would not hesitate to buy these again, as the price is very good for the quality of swirl I got.

Review of ”20PCS High Strength Fishing Swivels- #10 - 500lb":(Please refer to my reviewing guidelines at the bottom of the page). These SS 500lb swivels appear to rotate just as smoothly (if not smoother) as any other name-brand swivel that I've used in the past but I've never used a swivel as large and strong as these are. As is normal for this type of swivel, the cases appear to be a good quality 316 non-magnetic Stainless but the welded rings are somewhat magnetic and likely made with what looks to be 304SS. So, like all fishing gear they should be rinsed with fresh water after salt water use.I've done a bit of market research on Amazon for this specific type and size swivel and have found that these are impossible to beat pricewise at the current $16.58 for a quantity of 20. I've assigned 5 stars because these are as good or better than name-brand quality at a remarkable after market price. My responsibility as an Amazon Vine Reviewer:Considering the Amazon rules/regulations for being a Vine Member It is obvious that it is very important to Amazon that the person doing the review has indeed inspected, tested, used the product as well as being aware of the competitive situation of the market segment. This is so it can be fairly compared and reviewed whether good, bad, average, or anywhere in all of the grey area between. One thing that I wish were better defined by Amazon is exactly what each star should represent from 1 to 5 so that every Vine member would use the same guide in that regard. So, to let you know the guide that I use, I include it as follows:I always start off considering that average is 3 stars, and an average rating to me is:The product was correctly represented in the ad.The manufacturing quality is as expected. The product performed as intended. The product operating/user guide if needed is helpful. The product is priced accordingly. Then after inspection, measuring, testing, using, wearing, or whatever is requiredI add or subtract from the average as follows:Subject to additional stars:Additional product features not expected that are useful.Manufacturing quality/performance above what was stated or expected.Included guides and/or useful information that is beyond the norm.Product pricing highly competitive for a superior product.Subject to fewer stars:The product was misrepresented in the ad.Manufacturing quality/performance below what was stated or expected. No useful guide or understandable user information when required.Product pricing is on the high side considering quality, features, or the market.all the best,dr

I always oversize so there won't be any strength issues

The weather hasn't allowed me the chance to put these into action, but so far I am impressed. The 20 pack feels hefty, giving the impression that these will hold up well. The rings appear to be very well-built, and they swivel smoothly. Both rings will move through the holes in which they sit, whereas just the one ring will rotate around the axis. The design gives it plenty of freedom to keep the line/leader from twisting up. I'm really looking forward to seeing them in action in 200 feet of water!

Talk about a robust and strong swivel, I ordered the #7's and they're super beefy. These swivels tend to be even strong than they look. I usually order a #2 or #3 size for catfishing, and I don't want to mess around and potentially lose the fish of a lifetime due to terminal tackle failure.Overkill without oversize, that's the game right? Size 7 will be strong enough for group and saltware applications. Heck, even though they're still relatively small, they'll hold alot. It's good piece of mind knowing that this thing is going to handle any load I can throw at it.Another super cool thing--instead of split rings at the end, they use WELDED steel loops. Again, overkill, but I love it! I've been fishing these types of bearing swivels for 5 years now, and I've only had ONE tiny #0 that got rusted and broke. If they show signs of rust, toss them. That's few and far between though, I've only had one that had any rust.
