Attentions:

  1. Double-sided solid coating, wiping resistant, extended durability, precision slicing polishing and grinding processes, high temperature laser resistance, excellent optical properties, high working efficiency. Laser transmittance can be as high as 99.8%.
  2. Normally, the short focal length is suitable for engraving. If used for cutting, we suggest to work with long focal length.
  3. Causes of lens broken and tips:

(1) Ensure that the air cooling is good, otherwise the temperature will be too high and the lens will overheat and crack

(2) There are condensation water drops in the lens barrel, which may cause the lens to break.

(3)The lens is stuck or pollute with the jets of the cut or engrave material, Uneven heating for a long time is easy to cause broken. It should be cleaned with cotton ball dipped in absolute alcohol or acetone in time.

(4) When adjusting the light path, the light path is not correct, the laser accidentally hit the edge of the lens and the junction of the lens barrel, resulting in broken.

About Lens Shape

1

Focal length is the distance between the lens and the workpiece(material being cut or engraved). Before replace or install the lens, please confirm the diameter and focal length firstly. It is recommended to use convex upward, flat or concave facing the engraving or cutting material.

Was literally burning through lenses left and right. Contacted manufacturer and they pointed me towards this lens. Such a difference in quality and performance when you have the right lens! If you have a CO2 Laser, this is the focal lens you need!My machine manufacturer wouldn't list the specs for replacement lenses because they want to sell to you after market parts. (Not mentioning names, but rhymes with Jonport. Due to other quality issues with this machine I vowed to NEVER spend another dime with that company. So I needed an outside source for replacement parts) Thanks!

I have some unique glasses that are curved and tapered and I didn't think the standard 2" focal length lense on my laser machine would handle the varying focus depth.I started with a ramp test on this new 3" FL from cnole tech and found the ideal FL was 70 mm from work surface to the bottom flat face of the lense with a great focus in 2mm either direction a total of 4mm variance.I'm impressed with the ability to remain a relatively fine point focus at this FL. The Lense appears to be of high quality and was delivered scratch free with a perfect polish.

The lens was just a bit thicker than the original ULS M-300 2.0 lens - but it still fit perfectly in the lens carrier and the extra thickness didn't extend beyond the milled portion of the carrier. Any thicker and this would have failed. Just did my first cut and engrave with it and the quality looks good. It seems to me that some 5 years ago I had purchased a similar product and it did not fit. Stocking up with a few extra of these, now that I know they fit, just to have around.

Das wechseln der Linse ergibt ein weit besser Ergebnis. Die Linse muß richtig eingebaut werden und nicht mit den Fingern berühren. Beim Kauf auf den richtige Durchmesser achten.

The 20mm FL:2" is a perfect drop-in replacement for the default focus lens on the Boss LS-1420 laser. Boss wants $100 for their lens but I found that this one was much cheaper and had all the same specs. So far I've run my laser for about 10 hours engraving and cutting 1/4" solid cedar and 1/8" baltic ply and am getting sharp engraves at 385mm/s, and clean single pass cuts. Just make sure you wipe your lens down often during jobs and get a good air compressor. My original lens lasted three years before I replaced it with this due to my own negligence. I've picked up another spare just in case I forget to wipe the lens down again.Make sure to pay attention to the direction of the curve on the lens, and also make sure to wipe down all your mirrors while you're swapping out the lens. Wear gloves and only handle the sides of the lens.

I bought a Laguna Laser. With no previous knowledge of such I went ahead blindly. I've learned a lot since it first arrived but, to be honest, Laguna isn't someone I would recommend as far as sales. They lie. It's just that simple. They had no idea of when they would ship my purchase. I actually waited over six months before it arrived. But that's an entire other story. I wanted spare parts. I asked for three months for a replacement nozzle and when it finally came it was the wrong part. So I needed the parts and the Lens was definitely some thing I needed. I tried this one because I hoped it would fit and it was perfect. I installed it and that was all and it's been working exactly as it should and I am grateful to have been able to buy it through Amazon and have it delivery within 2 days!!!

I bought a 2.0" focal length CVD IIVI ZnSe lens, 19mm diameter. This lens is thicker at the edge than OEM lenses from universal laser, but it just barely fits, and cuts well enough so far. I bought another one that is listed as plano-convex like the OEM lens, but it is out of spec and too thick to use. The plano convex lens from universal laser is about 2.3mm thick, and 1.75mm thick at the edge. One caveat, which may or may not apply to all replacement lenses, is that you will need to re-calibrate your height adjustments to match the new lens. This one works best for me when I change the calibration from the original lens and set at -0.100" and re calibrate. This makes the table a bit higher, and makes the laser focus tighter than if not calibrated. I made a bunch of test cuts, going first with the calibration that worked for the OEM lens, and moving the table up in 0.050" increments. the kerf got smaller, at .050, smaller still at .100, and then started to get wider at .150 as I raised the table above the ideal focal length.seems to cut on par with a used OEM lens, using the same settings, once z height is recalibrated. I have not compared to a new OEM lens right out of the box. Given the price of this lens vs. the OEM lens, I am ok with having to re-calibrate in order to save some money.I have a universal VLS-6.60 cutter that I am using this in using the OEM aluminum lens holder. I removed the broken lens by soaking in acetone for a few minutes to soften old glue. After carefully cleaning old glue from aluminum holder, I used loctite AA 352 adhesive (a UV setting acrylic adhesive), and cured the glue with a small blacklight for a few minutes. clean up of any stray glue with a q-tip dipped in acetone was simple and easy. Make sure the lens is in the holder the right way. The convex side goes facing the aluminum lens holder. glue only in the corners of the holder if you don't want a giant mess. this takes a little bit of skill, but it is entirely doable, and seems worth the effort so far.
