This container is very sturdy, top works like it should, air tight. BUT it does not hold 10 pounds of flour or dog food, at the most 5 pounds.

This container is definitely not airtight. giving it a 1 star because it requires it but definitely did not meet the purpose for which i purchased it for. unfortunately food products such as rice, flour to name a few require them to be stored in air tight containers to prevent little critters to get to it. This container did not do the job. i had additional flour in smaller Ikea container and no bugs…

This is a good storage option for protein powder. As you may know, protein powder degrades from oxidation, due to air exposure. I often buy protein powder in bulk, such as Carnivore, and it comes in a cheap zip-loc type mylar bag. No matter how good your protein is, it will degrade in poor storage options like the bulk bags the protein often arrives in. This air tight container holds an entire bag of Carnivore protein, and the air lock handle is easy to use and works great. I've had zero issues with locking or air leaks. The plastic is thick and won't break or crack if dropped, and as long as you don't scrub or scratch the plastic with anything metal, it cleans very easily too. I highly recommend it for protein powder.
