Was easy to work with and made a noticeable improvement on road noise. I did the entire floorboard (without the cargo area) and still had plenty left over. Get it

Used it to insulate the dog house on our RV, quality wise it's alright, not the worst but not the best. It had no problem sticking to a very clean surface but any bit of anything left and it wasn't having it. I have plenty left if any parts need to be replaced or for any other projects I would need it.The rollers were nice and functional, the trim removal tools are completely worthless and ended up in the garbage right away.

I'm restoring a 1940 Ford Deluxe Sedan (Fordor), and wanted to line the roof, floor, and sides of the car with a sound deadening and heat shield material. I was reluctant to use something with a sticky side as I've heard in heat it can cause it to unstick and come off, which would be VERY bad with a headliner. I took a gamble and got this material (the 36.16 square feet) for the roof and sides, leaving the floor for the peel and stick material from Lowes. This material is not super thick, which is good as that means it's not as heavy. I cleaned the roof of the Ford really well and spray-painted it matte black. I then used a scotch pad to 'rough' up the paint for better adhesion. I stuck this material on without applying any heat. I used an insulation roller tool to press on the sheets compressing them a bit and helping to make a secure adhesion. I'm proud to say that this material has survived 114-degree heat here in Southern California and it's still sticking really well. It made a HUGE difference in the temperature inside the car. Even in that heat, I could sit in the car and it wasn't too bad. I'm still pretty far away from having the car put back together to see how the sound deadening is, but so far it seems to help with the crazy echo from tapping on the roof of the car. One roll was able to do the entire roof and some side areas. I'll need another roll to do the doors.

Our 14 year old Evaporative Cooler was getting too loud to live with.I done all the repairs I could do (new improved bearing, belt adjustments, wheel adjustments) but the sheet metal rattles every time it runs. And on hot nights it was getting hard to sleep because of the loudness.I looked into HVAC fixes, which lead me to automotive fixes because of the small scale of this project. And after looking at the total square feet, tools needed; this one stands out for a complete package.Plus;, it is the thickest of the similar materials intended for the same purpose.I did all the work outside on a hot sunny day; and soon found you need sunglasses to work with it. The heat made it very flexible which made it able to 'pull it' somewhat to fill gaps without precision cutting. It also meant that once it was firmly attached; it would tear apart if you try to lift it.So, start with a small section and learn from that. The more you work with it, the easier it is to get the right result. But, you will have sticky hands no matter what method you finally adopt. I used 90% pure alcohol for a final cleansing step on all the surfaces before application. I think that made it very strong bond that way.It took me most of a day to apply it inside this ASA71 MasterCool Evaporative (Swamp) Cooler. I was racing to get it done before the house got hot. Once I got everything put back together, and got it running I could tell that there was a great deal less noise even before I went inside. And, before I could say anything, my wife told me she thought it was 75% quieter (witch I can't confirm with data) so this was a very inexpensive and effective solution for our problem. The added bonus is that the insulating properties made the cooler work better instantly; and it takes less time before the thermostat shuts it off. So, cooler air, faster, and cheaper than in past years.I hope I won't be replacing the cooler before we decide to give up being homeowners. But if I do; I'm installing this product in it before it ever gets powered up.

I love that it came with the rollers, most dont. The panel tools are ok, not high quality so kind of flimsy. The material is thick and definitely adheres well. Easy to cut and mold. Just didnt get the affect I was hoping. I have a 2010 Silverado Crew Cab. They are terrible at noise in the cab so I got this to help. With 36sq ft I was able to do the back wall behind the back seat. Under the back seat and up to the front seats on the back floor. And under the feet of the driver and passenger seat. It cut the noise down some but not as much as I was hoping for or going for. When I can I will order some more and do the doors, under both front seats, and the center console, and maybe that will get me the affect I was going for. Nothing bad to say about the product, just didnt get the results I was hoping for and I think its cause I didnt order enough for my truck.
