This sound deadening mat has worked fairly well for some car stereo and system installs I've done on friend's cars! The ease of cutting and installation is top notch for what you get and the adhesion quality is really good! Though I did add some extra adhesive to parts of this, the adhesive that comes with this is perfectly fine. Just note that you have to clean and prep the surfaces really well in order for this to work as it should, and properly! Overall, this is a good value for what you get and I will end up getting more for personal vehicles and friend's! To me, not completely equal to the more name brand mats, but this will hold up just as well!

I like this stuff, I always use aluminum backed stuff for car floors. Needed to put new carpet in my pickup truck, and decided to add some deadening material. I like the aluminum backed stuff to keep some heat out of the cab from the exhaust and road helping keep cooler in the FL sun.The stuff is nice and sticky, just make sure to roll it on and clean the surface for good adhesion.My only complaint is the way it came, not in a roll but folded hard together. So install has creases. For me its going under carpet so that is not a big deal, but if it were visible I would not be happy with those creases.

couldn't decide between 2 or 3 stars. im using this on a restore on a 79 and i ran out of the first stuff i bought and only needed a little more. you can see in the pic that it was folded and the product is pinched and not uniform because of it. also i added a pic of my original product and this one side x side and you can see the aluminum layer is not as good of quality as the first stuff i used. i will say the adhesion that some say is weak is the exact same as my original so maybe they just havent used any other products along these lines... it will work and it is cheaper then most it just wont work as good as a better more expensive product.. im ok with that because i put a layer of dynamat deadener 10455 as a first layer under this so its not as important that this is high quality. you get what you pay for.....

used this in an old 51 ford that had no sound deadening. it made it so you could hold a conversation in the cab.
