Used one of these for years in Industrial maintenance to see if relays were on. Used to cost several hundred dollars, now less than $100. Similar to a voltage pen in operation it finds weak magnetic fields.

I purchase this unit due to it is a handy tool to have in my toolbox when the need arises. But I did not check the unit upon receipt and the 1st time I tried to use it it did not work it did not work very disappointed that they would send a unit out that the battery is already expired

The probe is a tremendous time saver, you have a miss fire on your car, you can check coil packets and injectors to locate cylinder which is misfiring and find out if its spark or fuel problem.

This is such a time saver. If you troubleshoot ac/dc coils as I do, this is a must have.

Excellent device to trouble shoot electrical low voltage relays. Use this many times to locate electrical issues.

Super handy for testing solenoids. Every tech should have one. I just wish the battery was replacable. I had one die because i left in in my tool back with my fluke meter that has a magnetic strap. -1 star for non replaceable battery.

I saw this and decided to try it . It works great I use it all the time the only improvement is a pocket clip. So it's not falling out of a pocket when you bend over maybe a better protective sleeve with better test magnet storage and a pocket clip but this is still a great tool and I have already recommended it to everyone I know
