I do quite a bit of canning, and these are high-quality alternative to the expensive brand-name lids I was buying in stores. They seal well. I got the best results from dipping them in very hot water for 30-60 seconds before placing them on the glass jars.

We do a LOT of canning of our own home grown vegetables and fruit, and these are just as good as the brand name we all know that starts with a B, but cost a lot more at your local grocery store, assuming it even stocks canning lids. All you really need to know when ordering them is how many you plan to use, and whether your canning jars are regular mouth or wide mouth. Most of our cases of jars are regular mouth, so buying these in quantity was a no-brainer for me. I would not buy large mouth lids in a quantity like this, because we only have a couple of cases of those jars and rings. These lids get the job done for a really good price point. I have never had a seal break on me with one of these after it made the magic "bink" sound while the jar cools down, until I open it for eating. That goes for tomatoes, pickles, jellies & jams, etc.

These lids are sturdy and seal well. 199 out of 200 sealed. Thats a better percentage than name brand lids and they are more economical. Ordered more boxes.

I have used all 200 of these lids. Out of the 200, only 2 failed to seal. I think this is an amazing seal rate!I love the style of the lid that easily allows a label and date. The fit regular mouth pint and quart jars perfectly!I'm getting ready to buy these lids again today!

These have worked fine for the most part, although I have had a few sealing failures. I believe they are thinner and the rubber seal part is thinner than the name brand ones. Some of my canned products have caused black spots to form on the inside of the lids that you can only see once you open the jars. I don't know if this is a product failure or what it is. Most of the lids I have used work fine though.

These lids have a better seal rate then the Ball or Kerr lids! I have used 100 of these lids and one did not seal! I think it was an issue with the jar, not the lid.A few tips -1) If you are heating the lids before-hand... DON'T! This is the method for older canning lids. The newer ones don't require this and it can cause the lids to buckle and not seal. Gone are the days when you had to boil the lids before using them.2) Wait to test your seal until they are completely cool. I know this is the standard, but if you are like me, you didn't pay any attention to this in the past. After several minutes the jars are usually sealed. But with these lids, some of the jars take longer. There were several times I thought jars were not going to seal, but with patience they always did.3) As they cool, it is important to continue to tighten the rings to give the lids (that haven;t sealed yet) a chance to seal as they cool

After paying way more than we used to pay for the brand name lids, we decided to try these lids that were much more reasonably priced. During covid we couldn't find lids so ordered some off brand ones and they didn't work very well so we were leary about trying off brand ones again. We have been very satisfied with these lids with 100% sealing so far. Will definitely order these again when we run out.
