Nice book. Well we patterns. Just don’t expect 200 different patterns. About 75% is same pattern in different color schemes.I’d return if I paid full price. I got a used copy in perfect condition.

The book is great. The patterns are clear and easy to follow. The copy I received was used. It had been marked in several spots. I am pretty sure I ordered a new copy.

Loved all the patterns in the book. I used some of them to knit cat pads for my local animal shelter for charity.

I had a favorite knitting book that I used to make an afghan when I was a teen. I made baby afghans using those same patterns, just baby yarn and smaller needles, and they were a standard shower gift for years. I wanted to make another one and since I couldn't find my book I went looking for something else. This was a 'take-a-chance' purchase and I'm not sorry at all. I've always wanted to try knitting with carrying different colors of yarn in one piece and now I'm going to learn to do that. With each square I knit, I get fired up to decide what will be next. I'm having a ball!

Good book for all levels of knitters! Each block is marked from beginners to advanced. Has pictures and ideas for layouts of different afghans

There are some "double ups" on actual patterns but just changing colours but otherwise I am pleased I bought it as it has made knitting left over wool more interesting.

Making an Afghan now and have many more planned! Instructions are easy to follow and a lot of information is provided on how to mix and match. There is also a good section with general information for experienced and beginning knitters.

I love this book. I have given it as a gift to friends who knit and they love it too. The patterns are interesting a very varied. I use the squares to make afghans. I also use some square patterns to make longer pieces and then sew them together for a striped afghan. The squares range from very simple to more complicated. Some use multiple colors. I tend to prefer using a single color so I have made some the multi's with one color. A beginner could use this book - as long as you can cast on, purl and knit, and bind off. All of the stitches are described in a glossary in the back if you want to learn more or need a refresher. Great and versatile knitting book. I highly recommend.
