I don't know who had the idea but it works. It can keep the expensive silicon not getting dry overtime, and able to be reused for several times. Save a lot of money.

I used to use duct tape and plastic bags for caulk preservation and it worked pretty good. I'm giving these a try as they look promising and much easier to use and a cleaner look too. I'll edit in a couple of months for an update.

Does a good job of sealing partially used tubes of caulk. Beats all other caps, etc that I have tried.

Instead of having to throw away perfectly good but now rock hard and useless sealant material, these little "condom-like" roll on spout caps will help to preserve your sealant and caulking tubes when you still have material remaining. They really slow down and often eliminate the drying process and thus increase the chance that your sealants remain useable and save money by not having to buy new. I find these are more effective and easier to use than other tube sealing methods. If you try them, I think you'll like them. I only wish I knew of them sooner.

I like this product because it works well and was not expensive. I use this product to cover opened caulk and keep from getting hard.
