I followed the directions to a T. Removed old caulk. Cleaned area and had a huge fan blowing in the tub area. Next day prior to taping the joints I cleaned with rubbing alcohol and let dry. Taped and applied the caulking and removed the tape and let it dry for 48 HOURS EXACTLY. Two weeks later I noticed it was coming off. I removed the caulking and rubbed it in my fingers and it left a chalk like residue on my fingers. One thing I noticed was when applying the caulking it was hard squeezing the caulk gun. Trust me I have squeezed a lot of caulk in my time and this stuff came out of gun hard! I thought this was the way to go and I purchased 2 tubes of it only to throw them in the garbage.

I repair a lot of tubs that have the cheap Alex 15 year paintable in 30 minute caulk in them. It always cracks, mildew is a problem and you have to replace it more often. And if you're not doing it yourself the labor is the most expensive part. Do yourself a favor remove all the old stuff and just start over with this.

I am a contractor and use a lot of caulk for bathrooms and kitchens work. I started using this product after receiving a sample box from the manufacturer, Shasco. I have used it on showers, tubs and kitchens for a year or so now and have received rave reviews from my clients and in my personal home use. It is outstanding and is guaranteed to never mold or mildew. Great stuff!!

Used as directed in a shower. After the first shower, it was peeling away, and subsequent showers caused it to become gummy. It is clearly not waterproof. Very disappointed. Wish I could return, but I already used the tube.

I did the prep work and applied the material as per the directions on the back of the tube. The caulk was of a good consistency to allow for an easy application and a smooth joint. A bit of spit and a finger finished the job nicely. I did leave the material sit for 2 days in a house with the heat on.No problems after a steamy long shower. It's my new go to caulk.
