This kit was great. I has a wire harness that i needed to add a connector into the middle of. I was going to buy all the pins and crimp tools to do it myself but then saw this and gave it a try. Couple butt splices later and i now have an easy way to disconnect my wire harness. I did a light pull test on all the wires and they seem to be crimped tightly.

Deutsch style connectors are one of my three favorite connectors for automotive use (the other two are Weatherpac for under 10 amp, and Anderson Power Pole for 20 amp plus). These Deutsch fit right in the middle ground (~15 amp) and as others have said, two can be ganged for use up to 30 amp. These Deutsch are some of the most weather proof connections available (as are the Weatherpac), which especially counts when used on Jeeps and other off-road capable vehicles.What makes these especially nice for many, is that the connector pins are already inserted and fitted with wire--this can be a daunting task if you don't have crimpers specially designed for this style of pin. I do, but these color coded pigtails are a real time saver, both with regards to assembly, but in sourcing the different color wires. Same can be said for the colored heat shrink that is included.All this and at a very good price as well (compared to the originals and the alternatives). A five star product both overall and in the details.

I use it to put inline amp for my factory speakers, color codes almost match to make my work a lot more simpler than I thought. Connection is snuggled tight and wire size is big, it is an advantage.
