I have little experience with orchids. I've never been able to get them to bloom after the initial bloom. I researched how to care for them and get them to bloom after receiving one as a gift. It needed a bigger pot, so I purchased this potting soil. It is thriving and has bloomed again, faster than I imagined it would.

Works fine in soil mix. Typical perlite. A bit expensive compared to Home Depot, but I can't get there easily.

I've been mixing a little of this Vermiculite with my coir perlite potting mix in the bottoms of my cloth pots to help retain a little more moisture and nutrients for the roots looking for more, while the upper potting mix drains more readily.This seems to be working well, being fed by a hydroponics type system through drip irrigation system parts.

I’ve used this product for 2 eats and just love it. I use it for plant starting and it keeps the potting soil front clumping together. High recommend this product

There is definitely not 5 quarts in the bag, maybe 3 quarts at most. It is more like a potting soil consistency than chunks. Though I didn't want super chunky bark I was hoping for more texture for aeration purposes when mixed with potting soil and perlite. I will use it, but won't order again.

I ran out of my bag of MiracleGro perlite, and frankly, the last quarter of the MiracleGro was so small and crumbly, I decided to look for something better. Came across this deal, and the price on this is fantastic, and I’m so impressed with the quality of the perlite. Bigger than the MG perlite, but still small enough to use with ‘regular’ plants in potting soil. I also get very little dust from this, so it’s very clean. Nice size bag, too! Plus, it’s nice that the bag is clear so I can see how much I have left in a glance.

I had an old 8qt. Bag of vermiculite and wanted to get more. The bag I purchased was advertised as 20 qt., coarse vermiculite. As you can see in the pictures, the bag is the same size as my old 8 qt. Bag. It Definitely is NOT 20qt. (20 qt= 5 gal.) It does not even half way fill a 5 gal. Bucket. It is definitely NOT coarse, and very powdery. Even though their tiny sticker says 20 qt., it is NOT! You are better off purchasing from a local big box store or garden center, and get what you pay for. False advertising and product labeling.
