Does not block out anything. You can still read your info right through the ink. Also if you try to go over more than once then the ink just smears but it does not block out any of the info still.

Ran out of ink quickly but additional ink was supplied. Made kinda cheap. If you use any pressure, the rollerball will push into the assembly and quit working. Not recommended. Advise to pay a little more and get better units.

Works great. One swipe and you're done, you can't see what is printed under it. Great for privacy. Wish I would have bought it sooner!!!!!
