I really needed to do something about the mess that I had with all of my cords crisscrossing and getting tangled up so badly that I was getting frustrated whenever I had to find the correct cord that went to the piece of equipment that I was dealing with. When I saw these baskets on-line, I thought that I had to do something and I got these to try to sort out my mess. The first thing that I noticed about the baskets was that they were stronger than I thought they would be. The slots on the sides of the baskets were bigger than expected too. There are 2 sizes of baskets and I tried the smaller one first and I was able to get my usb hub into it without a problem. But I still had my power stripe and all of those cords still sitting on my desk. I switched to the larger basket and I could fit both the usb hub and the power stripe into it as shown in my 1st photo showing them side by side in the basket. The 2nd photo shows the basket closed and only 1 cord coming out of the basket. That cord connects to my laptop and the it comes from the usb hub where I have my laser, 2 disk drives, a fan and a few other items plugged into it. I have sorted the wires to come in from the side for my laser and peripherals and from the back side for the disk drives and printers plugged into my power stripe. My desk top has never been this organized. I still have the smaller basket to tackle my work bench wiring nightmare. I do recommend these baskets for organizing your wiring needs. I know that I won't regret getting these.

These are a good idea, but they are not wicker. They sure look like wicker, but they are a plastic coated wire material. Not that it's bad, it's just a bit deceiving on first looks. The description does describe it correctly, but in person it's obviously fake wicker. Of the set I received, the smaller one's lid does not close properly - it overlaps on one side and exposes the opposite side. Due to the "hinges" being woven into the material, you can't really adjust it to sit correctly.They will work, but they aren't some good looking piece to be proud of either.
