Why do we need snow chains?

What model is our snow chains suitable for?
Attention:
After installing non-slip chains, it is important to note the following:
- Do not install snow chains on a flat tire as this may cause further damage to the tire.
- Snow chains should be installed on the driving wheels.
- When installing and removing slip-resistant chains, park your vehicle in a safe area.
- Do not exceed the recommended speed limit while using snow chains, which is typically no more than 30KM/H, to prevent chain breakage and tire damage.
- Avoid sudden braking, sharp turns, or any aggressive driving behaviors to ensure safe travel.
- After traveling approximately 300 kilometers, check if the snow chains are still securely fastened.
- Remove the snow chains promptly when road conditions improve, such as when the snow starts to melt or the pavement is visible.
- Finally, store the snow chains properly to prevent rust and deformation, which may affect their performance in the future.
The square steel design enhances the overall ice breaking ability of the snow chain.

The tail chain is left with a few links and fitted with S-hooks for easy adjustment.

Practice the install once…before you need them. A bit different; but not difficult. These would be emergency chains; probably not every day chains.

These chains are just what I needed to be able to drive to work in the snow before the roads got plowed off. They seem to be made of good heavy-duty chains and materials, and they held up very well to the roads and gave me a lot more traction. They didn't seem to wear on my tire walls at least that I noticed but I haven't gotten to use them very much so far this winter. they are actually fairly smooth to drive on as compared to other tire chain sets yes I did notice a bit bumpier ness but nowhere near as bad as other sets I have tried out. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they are a bit of a pain to get on your tires and have to be placed just right and also because they do take some work to get back into the container they provide for you to store them in, its not as bad as other people have said it just has to be done right and you cant just toss them in you have to make sure that it isn't tangled up and lays flat enough to fit it all back in but I didn't struggle with it at all and didn't take me very long. I don't understand why others have had such an issue doing so ..Its not that hard you just have to be willing to do it the right way and not be lazy! Lastly where they are a pain to get into the right position to get on , once you get the hang of it and how it opens and closes it becomes very easy, I do wish they had made it easier to tell where the open and close parts are because it is very difficult to see the back side of a tire to see where the latch is. other than that, I would defiantly buy them again as they are very affordable and seem to do a great job for me at least they do.

I was concerned that these might not fit my Prius since they were so cheap, but they worked great, and probably saved me from crashing when the road suddenly turned to ice. The instructions were useful, but they did mislabel the colors of the attachment mechanism. Luckily the instructions were very visual so it was easy to identify which part they were talking about. I also really appreciate that the kit came with gloves, because I wouldn’t have thought to pack them.They’re hard to fit back into the box after use, but I managed with a little time and patience.

Do not waste your money. After applying the chains to my tires, I drove less than half a mile before I heard the chains hitting something under my car. When I pulled over, the chains has entirely fallen off and a piece had broken. I was stranded until someone was able to bring me a new set of chains from a nearby store.

Somehow I managed to miss the ruling that tire chains are now illegal in my state of North Carolina, so you might want to check before ordering. However, I love to spend me in the woods and off-road in my Jeep and that's really where I had planned to use them. This set comes neatly packed in its own carrying case, making storage very convenient and easy. We've not had snow in NC in the last year or two, but when we do, I'll be prepared. I did try them out in a field and I could tell a real difference in traction. I put them on my 2-wheel drive 4-runner (older model) and they made a huge difference. If you can use them, this is a fine set of tire chains!

Overall great chains. They held up well as I traveled in snow up the mountain. I would buy them again.
