I use these at my barn and they work great. I haven't had any issues with them freezing in the winter and the clasps are still holding strong. I will be ordering more of these in the spring.

These chains are a good length, but not sure how strong they would be, but just to hold a gate shut they should be fine. The carabiners are a little small, so I will change those. I can't speak to whether or not if they will rust over time, I prefer stainless steel chains for that reason, because the ones I use are subjected to all sorts of weather. The price is fine for 2 lengths of chain, but I will need to spend some money to replace the carabiners.

Here’s a more personable and expanded version of your review:For a precut chain with spring hooks on the end, this worked great for what I needed. I use mobile power supplies at work to power a printer and laptop, and one of them went missing early on. I decided to use these chains to secure the remaining power supply to the cart, and they’ve done the job perfectly. The spring hooks make it easy to attach and remove, and the chain is just the right length for what I needed.It’s a simple solution, but it works exactly as expected and has helped me keep my equipment secure and in place. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase!

This did not last long on a gate that my horses like to rub their behinds on. I broke the clasp and the gate was open. Glad it wasn't a gate where they could get out and get hurt.

I own a few gate chains that came with my actual farm gates. I wouldn’t say that these are as heavy duty as those. There is certainly nothing wrong with them. They are well-made and the welds are all very smooth. However, they don’t feel as heavy as my original chains that came with my gates. These are simple to you because of the carabiner on either side. I’m actually using them to hold open a door in the barnyard so it works really well because I can easily clasp and unclasp them. Since it’s a Dutch door , I have one attached to the bottom and one attached to the top. They do an excellent job holding and making sure no animals get trapped or hit by a heavy swinging door.
