This item had a very misleading product description , 1st - This was described as being able to filter out dust when put on your fan , Wrong ! it is made of mesh that has big holes in it that no way will filter out anything ! 2nd - It comes with a super thin plastic to put on the and for what reason i have no idea . It is useless , you can't use it and run the fan . total waste of money !

I hated taking my fan apart to clean it well thnxs to Amazon I no longer have to worry about cleaning my fan since I bought this haven't had to clean my fan yet

The cover is plastic and can not use due to lack air passing through. This is like a storage cover and not a filter.

The plastic cover is quite thin, so I can't say how they will each hold up over time, but they fit our fan exactly and seem to function just as described! Great price for two covers that serve two different purposes -- a mesh one for collecting dust while the fan is running and the plastic cover for keeping out dust and dirt and moisture when it's not. The holes in the mesh fan are a bit large for a barrier, but they don't impede the breeze that way.

If you are buying this product to cover your fan when not in use to reduce the amount of dust on the fins and mesh housing then your fan diameter shouldn't be more than 14 inches otherwise it won't completely lock from the back sideThe material seemed nice though.
