I got this today and assembled right away. Upon removing from box I first noticed that all 4 sections were bent in same way or another not one section was in good condition. I also recommend good leather gloves be worn when putting together. I followed 2 different YT videos and with some serious effort I got this all put together correctly. FYI I am a retired ASE master Automotive tech and this was not hard to assemble nor was it easy. In the one video it all just slid together so easy but in real world assembly its a royal pain to get the parts to fit together. Had I had the proper measurements needed I could have built one out of wood for a 1/2 of the cost and been 10x's better quality. Its together ready for the fan to mount buyer beware this part works but is also not the best quality

Skip this item. First off, it doesn't put the whole house fan on enough of an angle for the doors to always fully shut like that should. Second, it's super flimsy and falls apart. Had to reinforce me and put so much fixing work into this item that I could have just cut some wood and made my own instead. What a waste. Their fans are great, their accessories not so much.

Given the prospect of trying to build a box out of sheet metal or wood this was a much better choice. The instructions are lacking but there is a video on YT that shows how to put it together. If you have this house fan then this is the nest solution for mounting in the wall as I did

The vertical adapter was not compatible with the grill that came with the fan. The adapter is 14.5x14.5 opening. The grill holes measure 14.5x14.5 leaving no means to attache the grill properly. I called quiet cool and their solution was to drill at a angle and patch anything that was not right. I did end up getting it close and was able to hide cracks with caulking, but shouldn’t have to do that. I wish they would just make a grill that fits the vertical adapter they sell. I would not recommend this product if you are looking for a plug and play solution.

This product only has 6 TOTAL pieces, THAT INCLUDES TWO (2) SHEET METAL SCREWS. Six total pieces!! While trying to follow the TERRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS, I never even got the first two pieces to fit together! This product is made of flimsy sheet metal and some convoluted folds for fitting the parts together. Parts were bent and bowed, and all the pounding in the world just bent the sheet metal terribly and prevented any kind of assembly. Right before packing up to RETURN, I noticed the other "side" was idetical to the first (problem) side. Because of the flanges on the parts, this side would NEVER assemble into the "back" as described as the flange would be on the wrong side of the vent!*** DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. DIY BUILD ONE YOURSELF out of plywood... like I did! Works and fits perfectly!!
