I live in the south (strike 1) and I'm also surrounded on 3 sides by cow pastures. Which means that when they spray the fields, for about a month I deal with giant flies invading my house every time a door opens.I had a bug zapper I kept by the door but things still slipped thru. This makes it fun. I just hand this off to my 10 or 12 year old and it becomes a game. It's pretty sensitive, so it works quickly and efficiently. This also feels a lot more durable than previous versions I've had in past.Overall I'm impressed and pleased.

This is a two-in-one fly swat/ zapper. It is rechargeable and comes with a c port charger. Very fast to charge and the charge lasts a long time if used as just a swatter. If you twist the face down there is a blue light that emits from the handle and draws bugs in like a zapper. If used as a zapper the charge doesn't last very long (an hour tops.) It comes with a stand and two sticky pads so you can mount it on an outdoor surface. Also can be hung up on a wall and used like that in zapper form. To use the swater there is a button you must hold down as you swat to get it to zap. Overall nice product and works as intended.

For some reason I attract bug bites more than anyone I know. I have had bug zappers in the past but, this one is so much better. It doesn't take batteries you just charge it when the red light comes on. I like that is has a green light to let you know when it is fully charged. The fly swatter racket has a stand and can be set on continuous power so, you can set it up and let it do the work by itself, or you can use it manually. If you are in a dark room or outside on a porch or patio you can turn on the second mode and set it on the stand and it will emit a UV light that will attract the bugs and keep them away from you. It works on kitchen fruit flies too. This product is well worth it, to make your home or outside relaxing time much more enjoyable.

I absolutely love being outdoors, but unfortunately, the bugs love me. During the pleasant Spring, Summer and Fall mornings, my husband and I enjoy eating breakfast on the patio. It doesn’t take long before the mosquitos come to visit, followed soon by bees or wasps. I’ve tried a citronella candle, then a real citronella plant, then “bug bands” around my ankles. These efforts haven’t stopped them yet. This is a rechargeable bug light that attracts the insects then zaps them. It comes with a stand for floor or tabletop use, it can be hung from a hook (or my patio umbrella), or even swung, albeit more slowly, like a tennis racquet. I have seen other racquet-type zappers previously which worked well, but the fact that this can be stood up on a table or on the floor makes it much more versatile. This charges with a usb-c cable, which is included. It can be operated with or without a blue “bug light” to attract insects.Unfortunately for this review, we’re still enjoying a bugless winter season so there have been no bugs to try this on as yet. I’m really looking forward to using this in Spring, though. We would definitely eat more meals out on the patio if bugs weren’t a problem. I can’t fault this zapper for not having bugs to try it out, so five stars based on design and construction. When we can begin using this outside, I’ll return and will edit my review.

NEW EDIT TO ADD: If I could give this 2 more stars I WOULD! I have also discovered that due to the smaller gridwork that other devices like this do not have, you are able to really knock down gnats with it. Others with a wider grid do not do this nearly as effectively! I like this electric fly swatter. In fact, upon firing it up for the very first time, I am not sure exactly what was on it in transport, however the loud sparking up and the electrical arcs that deployed across the face of the fly swatter, were impressive. That lasted off and on for approximately 20+ seconds. Frankly, I was delighted to note that it has sufficient power to achieve that level of arcing! My reason for wanting this item was that I have had a few ongoing gnats seeming to hover around our kitchen, and I felt that this would be a benefit in exercising a measure of control over them. The unit itself seems quite well made. It seems quite sturdy and has good heft to it as well as a nice stand that it can sit in should you elect to use it that way. Also, upon unboxing, DO NOT try to simply lift the top half. (as it arrives with the top swatter-part folded down to facilitate easier transport.) Instead of lifting the top piece which arrives folded up, you swivel the head. (top piece) to the side, rather than lifting it. It does seem as though it might be helpful to have an arrow or something to indicate that. I hope that I Have not unnecessarily made the issue more confusing, but it did initially stump me for a moment or two after removing it from the packaging. The USB port is easily located, and I allowed it to charge for approximately 2 hours to ensure a full charge before deploying it, though there was very clearly some charge in it when I opened it.The stand is a unique aid. One can turn the flyswatter on and then set it in the stand, with the LEDS activated as well as the swatter being fully ready to kill any flying insect that flies up against the grid. Employed in such a manner, the swatter stands straight up vertically in the holder. This set-up allows the swatter to be used without the need of running around and chasing after insects. I find this entire premise to be a very clever idea.Given my hands-on experience with this electric flyswatter, and experiencing firsthand the quality, I would definitely recommend this electric flyswatter. It seems well-made and it functions very nicely. Highly recommended!
