My pull chain replacement for my Hunter fan that is over 20 years old looked like the one needing replacement. I had a picture of the old one with the location of the wires. Zip bang and it was done. Works great!

Product works as designed. I had trouble inserting newly stripped stranded wire. I coated / soldered ends of wire with electrical solder, making them less flexible. I was then able to insert wires into switch with less trouble.

This worked perfectly in a Hunter Antero (Model 59177) and was an identical replacement to the original, including the same color and branding. As others have mentioned you simply pull the wires out one at a time (I found it helpful to release the tension from inside the bad unit with a flathead screwdriver) and then insert them directly into the new switch (WITHOUT separating it, they slide right in). If you have trouble threading the new chain back through the fan hole, I used fishing line to come through from the outside, tie onto the chain, and pull it back through the hole.
