  • Before use: to make it flexible and manageable put it in water and soak it for about 15-20 minutes.

Although this sewing rocker no longer had its cane seat, getting it for $1.25 seemed like a bargain. Never having done any caning before, I was pleased with the results from using this cane. The amount of cane received was wonderful for a beginner like me. I had so much extra that if I had totally messed things up, I could have cut off my mistakes and started again without having to buy more cane. The seat of this chair is small. Only about 11"x11". I think one could cane 3 or 4 seats of that size with the amount of cane in this package. I'm sure that a caning expert will see countless errors in my attempt but, I'm OK with that. I like my little chair. It's comfortable and sturdy thanks to the quality of this cane.
