Purpose for Product: Installation of wire fence.Product Inspection: Clear plastic box containing 100 galvanized carbon steel staples that appear to be uniformly manufactured having sharp points. Q195 code search revealed the steel to be a Chinese plain carbon steel with high plasticity, tough, with low strength.Product Performance: Installed a staple into a med hardness pine board. Sharp points allowed easy penetration and the normal hammering process secured the staple. The staple is easy to break.Summary: Staple performed as expected, has minimal galvanizing and broke easily. I don't find the breaking a problem as the staple function doesn't normally have bending forces applied. Found no obvious defects but the pricing is nothing special.

We have some fencing that needs to be repaired. Fortunately, we weren't installing the fence or we would have had a serious problem as these1.2 Inch Steel Wire Fencing Staples, Galvanized U Shaped Fasteners kept breaking as we hammered them into typical fencing. The fencing wasn't particularly hard. When we installed it, we didn't have any trouble with the staples we used. These staples, however, were a real headache! So many broke that we just barely had enough to complete the job! I wouldn't order them again so I can't recommend them!!
