If you have an RV (or have used an RV) you'll be familiar with the finger holes in the wood platform typically under the bench seats in the dining area. You need to lift these to access storage space from the interior or to assemble a make-shift sleeping area. Anyway, these finger holes in our current RV are very roughly cut and uncomfortable to use so it occurred to me that a desk grommet would provide the edge protection needed. I measured one (my mistake - should have measured both) and then searched for a grommet that was approx. 1". Not easy to find (they are usually larger to accommodate a lot of cords) but ran across these. The quality is very good and they fit one bench seat perfectly - unfortunately the finger hole on the opposite bench is a hair larger so not a good friction fit but that's on me. We'll add a dab of silicone and it'll be just fine. Simple solution to an annoying problem. I imagine they would look really good in a more visible desk or counter situation.

Ordered two packages of two in each package. Received two packages, one package was broken and contained only one grommet. In short, ordered four and got three.Other than that, the grommets are exactly as described.I have a vintage drafting table I use as a desk. I used three grommets arrayed across the far edge of the desk to route monitor, tablet dock and desk task lamp cables under the desk to a power stripe. The power stripe is affixed under the desk with 2" adhesive backed hook and loop (Velcro). Desk top isn't cluttered with cables. The grommets look like they belong there.

The color is chrome (very shiny silver) - just what I wanted. If you don't want the chrome look then beware.
