Openings are too narrow-scratch the cabinet trying to hang files in the drawer. If it wasn't assembled, I'd return it.

I got this for my office room at home and I LOVE it! The assembly was easy enough that I, a petite girl (5'0), could put it together by myself. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the construction. There's a lot of furniture on Amazon that needs some elbow grease and maneuvering to get the screws/holes to line up properly but this was consistently lining up and made construction all the easier. The shelves slide smoothly too! Also...this cabinet is surprisingly STURDY. I have some printers on the top of it currently but I was able to stand and sit on it comfortably without any bending.As for the feature of the cabinet, I haven't been using the locking mechanism as it is in my home office but it worked fine when I tested it. I was most impressed with how smoothly the shelves slide. I was expecting some ratcheting but the ball bearings are smooth enough to slide well even without WD40.All in all, I've been enjoying this purchase tremendously and think that this cabinet has amazing quality for the price. 10/10 recommend!

The lock feature on this cabinet is just ... weird. It's defaultly locked and must be unlocked every time you open it. Push a drawer closed - auto-lock. This is fine, but the way the cabinet is constructed via instructions there's no way to change this. (You can skip a step and disable this.) The feature of not allowing both drawers to be opened at the same time is great, but if one of the drawers is even 1mm slid forward, the other drawer will not open, which requires one to push on the opposite drawer to fully closed every time you open it. I'll get used to it, but I'd prefer a lock/unlock feature that I control with a key. Locked/unlocked.Otherwise the cabinet is rather sturdy, despite it's thin metal construction. It's constructed in a way that's cleverly reinforced throughout. I have two printers sitting on top of it and there's no sag. Both drawers are full of folders and there's no flimsiness. Assembly instructions could be a bit better.

This product came with gloves and a screwdriver which I thought was very nice of them to include. Overall the built is pretty straightforward and easy.The cabinet itself is heavy duty and sturdy and also hold weight.
