The 2" outer diameter is accurate, but the inner diameter does not fit. I have standard 2" square metal mailbox post. According to the description my inner diameter is compatible, but the securing fins are just so stiff that they cannot be tapped in to secure the plug in place. I expected a tight fit to secure the cap, but the fins would need to flex to allow them to recess into the opening, these do not flex at all. It absolutely will not fit 1.875" opening. If your application does not have a minimum of 1.9" I wouldn't try these. If you have very thin wall and need something secure in 1.9 - 1.95", then this is probably a good bet.

Good quality. Durability of material will hold up well for my outdoor use as needed. No color variation between the four if matching is an issue for your use.
