About this item

  • Computer peripheral equipment manufacturers use CF-IDE cards in conjunction with CF cards to test motherboards, sound cards, graphics cards and other products. In these occasions, the power supply needs to be turned on/off frequently. Traditional mechanical hard drives are easily damaged. CF is a kind of electronic hard disk, which is completely different from mechanical hard disk in principle, and it is not easy to be damaged in these occasions
  • Portable instruments that use embedded X86 or RISC cores usually have IDE interfaces. If the CF card cannot be directly connected to these instruments, you can use this adapter to complete the transfer
  • Personal computers (PCs): These computers are usually x86 kernels, which are the main platforms used by the card. Some digital cameras have a CF card interface. You can access your picture data on a desktop computer through this card
  • Industrial PCs use this card and CF card together to store embedded operating systems such as embedded LINUX or WIN CE
  • Support CF-I and CF-II two types of cards: also support IBM micro hard disk with CF-II interface. 5.0V or 3.3V power supply: select the appropriate power supply voltage according to your CF card

Performance characteristics:
Compliant with standards: CF specification Ver3.0, IDE/ATA-66 specification.
Standard IDE interface interface: true-IDE mode, and supports DMA-66 transfer mode.
The IDE interface is a 40-pin/2.54mm female connector: this card can be directly inserted into the IDE socket.
With LED indicator: power (power LED), CF access (active LED), whether the card is inserted (card detect LED).
Master/slave jumper: can be configured as master or slave.
Use the CF card as a DOM: automatically supply power from the IDE's 20-pin or external floppy drive power socket.
Manual measurement, with small error. Please check size in detail before purchase.
Real colors may slightly differ from the pictures, as it depends on specific monitor settings and light brightness.

Now maybe its me. My retro game machine i use multiple CF cards. So that is why I miss the ejuct button. It works. The Led can't be seen. It would be nice to have pins to add led to front panel. The card does have male IDE connection.I would recommend this seller and item.

Works as expected, and I like that I can stick it in an unused slot and access the card when the PC case is closed up.

If the only thing I do is plug in power to this adapter I get very long boot times, very long to enter BIOS and lose the CDROM drive (both in BIOS and Windows.)If I plug in the IDE cable and insert a CF drive it will boot into preinstalled Windows 98. But again no CDROM and long loading times. This deserves 1 star for glitching the system. Gains 1 star for at least sort of working.*** I did not install Windows using this adapter. So I do not know if this will work for someone starting with a new CF drive straight from packaging.***
