I found that this sponge bottle did not work well as intended because it tends to get the envelopes too wet. A lightly moistened regular (not foam) sponge works much better. The bottle is perfect, however, for adding just a little more water to the other sponge as needed. Then a quick swipe with the (non-foam) sponge moistens the envelope just the right amount. I had 150 envelopes to seal, so I can say with confidence that my method works really well.

This purchase was to replace an envelope moistener that I had purchased years ago. I can't do Christmas cards (or graduation invites, etc.) without this! Makes licking envelopes a doable task. It's a must!

both bottles were delivered with giant slashes resulting in a completely unusable product. very disappointing. i read the negative reviews prior to purchasing but decided to give the product the benefit of the doubt. definitely learned my lesson!

Not much to say about such a simple, inexpensive product. I bought them to wet paper veneer tape to facilitate its removal. Works fine.

BOTH bottles seams at the bottom cracked with not even a month of use. Meaning they can't hold anything without it leaking out. Company wanted to refund me 50% for a product that isn't usable. Laughable. Save yourself the time and find something else.
