Not sure about accuracy, build quality is cheap, overly large and cables types are ancient (bnc connector). However, it does hav different wave types and does function as described.

This signal generator is compact and affordable. If offers a decent range of functionality for basic testing. It can generate various waveforms, including sine, square, triangle, and sawtooth, with a frequency range of up to 500kHz. I was particularly interested in the Schumann resonator feature; however, I was unable to verify its effectiveness using my oscilloscope. This could be due to my inexperience with the both pieces of equipment. Overall, this signal generator seems decent for hobbyists or those needing a simple tool for basic waveform generation. Although, it may not be suitable for more demanding applications. Even so, I would still recommend this signal generator to anyone who needs a basic signal generator, especially if they are interested in the Schumann resonator feature.

If you need a simple inexpensive waveform this will do the trick and does not cost a lot. I have several more expensive models that cost 4x or more that where a lot harder to learn to use. This has as many waveforms as the one costing 4x and is easyer to use.

This was bought for science experiments to do with EM Fields. The product works as advertised. The instructions were lack luster, but, you get the jist of how to operate it. Be sure to use a decent phone or tablet power brick. As the other reviews state, the plug that goes into the device sticks out quite a bit. -- To the manufacturer -- recommend a different power adapter option. Unit other wise is spot on.

This is a great, compact, budget function generator. I tested all the waveforms at 1kHz and 10 Khz, and a few of them around 10Hz. It has a lot of different waveforms, not just the standard sine, square, and triangle. It has gaussians, and ramps, and 1/2 wave rectified, and exponentials, and more. I got this mostly to characterize audio equipment frequency response, so these are the ranges I’m concerned with, and every time it was spot-on perfect compared to my oscilloscope measurements to within 1 Hz. It has a very simple interface, in which you have to keep pressing the cursor button to cycle through digits, but for the low cost and compact size of this generator, that’s fine. There are 2 things that I don’t care for. The first is that it has an odd size power jack. It is NOT battery powered with an internal rechargeable. It can accept 4V to 9V, with 5V recommended. It should just come with a USB-C power jack, then you could power it with any USB-C cable if you lose the odd connector cable (that is already USB-A on one end) that this comes with. I’m deducting just one star for this poor design choice. The other thing is the Schumann Resonator. While the Schumann effect is a real physical phenomena (having to do with the resonance of EM waves in the atmosphere caused by lightning), I don’t believe it has any “health” effects. This is just a gimmick. However, at least it comes with an EM antenna that should, in theory, be able to resonate at some frequency (it’s a long spiral antenna printed on a circuit board). However, it’s not going to really produce a 7.83 Hz propagating wave, because the wavelength of that propagating wave would be the circumference of the earth (and antennas need to be “about” the same size as the wavelength they intend to produce). At best, this will produce a locally confined electric field that changes with a 7.83Hz frequency. Why do you want to do this? I have no idea, because there is literally zero purpose. If you want to be exposed to Schumann waves, then just living on earth is sufficient. Lightning is striking somewhere on the earth right now, and the Schumann wave is resonating all the way around the earth to wherever you are, naturally. I wish they had just left this out and lowered the price of the kit correspondingly. I won’t subtract a star for it though, because the rest of the function generator is great. Overall 4 stars.
