Good kit. The 2 ingredients for the resin come out at different speeds so takes some getting accustomed to. Better to use over disposable cardboard and put a layer of clear packing tape down to mix on instead of the plates. Best to mix a very small amount at a time and do project in sections. I got to fix quite a few projects and still have plenty left for the next time I break something!FYI, it's resin so produces heat. Don't throw waste directly in the garbage, wait a few hour to make sure it won't combust.

The process itself Is difficult, or at least detailed and painstaking, and this kit has some things that make it harder. Storage of, and holding the materials in use, is non existent so be sure to have something to keep your kit in when it arrives and you'll need other pans or holders to keep things organized and stable in use. Once that has been sorted out the result are pretty good and the instructions, along with YouTube, will get your project completed. Definitely will take some time to get the best results, but the kit comes with sufficient materials to handle more than one small/medium project.

I have not been able to use this as of yet but I did check out what's in the kit. The kit comes with everything you would need to repair a broken ceramic piece. I like that it is food safe considering what I'll most likely break is a mug. I think the kit will be easy to use and provide a prettier outcome compared to super glue.

I've always been fascinated with Kintsugi- I love the concept, but I was really excited to get to use this kit in practice. I have a lot of heirloom china and crystal, and over the years a couple pieces have broken- this set gives me a way to repair those pieces beautifully. It's easy to use- very easy. I was able to figure it out very quickly, and the few repairs I've made so far just look stunning in my china cabinet. I haven't experienced any leaking, or weakness or anything- once I've made the repair the piece's utility is exactly as it should be.I love the idea that our cracks and flaws are what make us more beautiful- this kintsugi set has given me a way to beautifully repair family heirloom pieces that I had been pretty despondent over when they broke, and I'm so grateful.

This product is made to fix broken pottery. It has the purpose of fixing pottery while beautifying, instead of removing, the faults. It is food safe and doesn't take long to dry. However, I did not get this to use for pottery. I purchased it to use in my ink drawings and paintings because of the richness of the gold. It is a pure and fluid ink-like material and adds an extra level of depth and character to ink drawings. I do like that I can use it for its intended purpose when necessary, as I am also a sculptor. All around, it is great value for what you get. And the material holds well over time.

I followed the included instructions and used all the materials supplied - there are 2 pots of gold dust, a very easy to use resin dispenser device (that dispenses both parts of the epoxy together, really brilliant little applicator), some wooden sticks for stirring, 2 paintbrushes, and a small cardboard mixing tray. Right off, the cardboard mixing tray got kind of soggy and I'm pretty sure fibers got caught up in my gold resin. Despite following instructions, the resin still isn't dry. It's been at least a week, so that's kind of offputting - it feels soft and smudgeable (I was able to leave a fingerprint and nail indentation), so will probably be scraping it off and starting over with a different product. It's such a shame because the gold powder is lovely (will probably use it for manicures, hence why I couldn't give this just 1 star - the included materials are useful) and the instructions were very easy to follow, but this is definitely not food safe. It also smells TERRIBLE (still smells after a week, although that's probably because it will never dry); I have used many resins and epoxies for various projects and this one smells the absolute worst.

It works, but it is difficult to get a clean line. The sticks provided for applying the mixture are cumbersome to use and messy. There was no way to attach the nozzles provided - they did not fit over the top.
