Sadly this item was delivered in a bad state. One of the metal grill pieces is actually broken in two - and had been "coated" afterwards leaving a weird broken area. Also, the ceramic coating is (as other reviews have suggested) not complete. There are many many areas on the item where its bare metal, not the ceramic black coating that was expected. If it was half the price, this may have been forgivable. For the price it is, just avoid it. Pay a bit more for something properly made, or indeed pay half the price for something you will have to replace in a year. Either way, you will be better off not buying this product.

Compared to more expensive baskets of the same type, this one has very slightly inferior construction and material quality. The price difference more than makes up for it in my opinion. It's a charcoal basket, it's stainless steel, it doesn't melt, and it doesn't fall apart. Fits almost perfectly in my 22" Weber kettle. I had to bend the handles just a little bit so the top grate would fit without resting on top.

This charcoal basket is very well made of heavy gauge stainless steel. It fits my 18” Kamado Joe classic perfectly. The airflow is better than the original steel plate. Clean up is simple and quick, you just pick it up by the handles and shake it to clear ash. It’s a great value at almost $100 less than the Kamado Joe version.
