I have been painting over 50 yearsAnd my brushes Are important to the work that I create. I paint a lot so the quality and selection of my brushes are something that I focus on. These brushes hold their quality even after a few uses and I love the case As I also provide gifts for others. This is a top-notch set!!!

I think I am in love with Benicci! This is the second (yet different) set I have ordered from them in a month. I have looked at many paintbrushes in the past weeks as I want new brushes to replace my old- like 20 years old- but well taken care of brushes. I know that quality brushes can last, so that is what I have been searching for. I believe I have some knowledge on what to look for in good brushes. I would say the brushes in this stunning Benicci set are comparable to ones you can buy in craft stores for $4-9 individually. My first set of Benicci's is a collection of 1/2 inch and smaller so paired with this set I have every size and style of brush I want. These brushes clean up very well, absolutely no stray bristles, firmly attached ferrule, thick belly, nice flex, appropriately tapered toe, comfortable in hand, smooth handle, and applies acrylic paint beautifully on canvas. My advice to you is purchase this set now before Benicci doubles the price.

This is a very nice set of brushes, they are well made and silky with no loose brush hairs. The case seems sturdy and comes with a great variety of sizes, the sizes are versatile for painting large areas and detailed work as well.I purchased these from a youtuber recommendation. So glad I did! I also recommend these, it’s a great brush set 👍

I've bought other brands of brush sets that were flimsy and cheap, but not these. This set is so good. No pieces have fallen out while I paint or clean it. The case it comes in is very helpful as well. Definitely worth the pirchase.

I'm a fairly new artist and wanted some nicer brushes for myself (it does make a difference).I am so pleased with the Benicci paint brushes. They can be used for many different mediums -- I'm doing acrylic. They even came in a really nice carrying case and I'm just surprised at the value and quality of the whole product for such a reasonable price. It was even packaged nicely with lots of information on the outside about their product and what's inside. The best part is they are American made by a small family owned business. I'm very happy with my purchase!!

Unfortunately, these brushes arrived with the bristles mushed up. Hoping I can straighten them out.

Was expecting better based on the reviews and price. These are worse quality than my dollarstore brushes. Ferrels are all loose, I'm assuming the brushes will fall off the handles soon, brushes feel flimsy. Disappointed.

I'm a professionally trained artist from the Academy of Art University at San Francisco. I usually purchase my brushes from Utrecht. But I was searching for a full set, something very economical yet decent quality that I could use to dive more deeply into acrylic painting. Although I'm a trained multi media artist (fashion illustrator), I'm self taught with the acrylic medium and have been painting seriously for about 7 years. I have included samples of my acrylic art so you can get an idea of my painting level (note these were not painted with this brush set). Now you know my background. Here is my honest review with these brushes. The first thing I noticed immediately upon opening was that everything was secured very nicely under the protective flap except for brush #10, but that didn't affect the quality. Second, when I took the brushes out to inspect them one by one, several of the brush ferrules were loose, not crimped very well and the crimp appears very cheap. Not necessarily a deal breaker, though that does reflect poorly on quality control. The bristles are very nice for the price point, not a cheap nylon bristle. They are soft yet firm, a nice middle ground for acrylic painting. Not as stiff as some cheap nylon bristles, yet firm enough to handle the medium, I was very pleased with that as they can easily compare to my other professional brushes. Next, I began to inspect for defects. As stated, several of the ferrules were loose and the brushes each feel light and not very substantial, if weight is important to you. I don't know how this will effect the performance, but we'll see and I will write a separate update on that. The bristles all seemed mostly as it should be with exception of #11 and #7. #11 has a corner that is not square and #7 doesn't appear as pictured. Although I will say when I first laid eyes on #7, I thought it was a grainer. It's supposed to be a glazing brush. But the way the bristles are laid out looks more like a grainer brush, which actually works in my favor since I needed a grainer brush at this size. I'm going to hold onto it and give it a try and see how it performs next to my more expensive grainer brushes. All in all this is a very nice set for the price point so it's hard for me to complain about these defects as none if them are deal breakers for me. But if you are looking for a consistent product defect free, this isn't it. You get what you pay for. Nonetheless I believe it is an impressive set for the price and a great deal for a beginning artist. If you are like me and are at a professional level, than this product can still work for you, but just know it's not like some of the more expensive brushes on the market (that are $15 and more per brush) yet does compare to more economical brushes in the $7-$10/brush price range. I would recommend this set to someone looking for an economical set of brushes that are at least somewhat decent. I'll update with a performance review once I get experence with these brushes.
