Reliable product that stops cats from scratching furniture. This kit comes with 18 transparent sheets in various sizes that can also be cut down to different sizes to fit my needs. The glue is strong and stayed in place, I didn't use the pins that came with the kit because I didn't want to put pinholes in my leather office chair. Once I glued that sheet onto the chair, my cat stopped trying to climb up on that area. There's something about the clear plastic that deterred my cat from digging her nails to the material. These sheets do a great job with protecting the furniture and keeps my cat at bay. Highly recommend them.

I think all cats secretly think they are Paladin the gunfighter. But instead of "Have gun, will travel," the cat's card says, "Have claws, will scratch." Short of declawing the cats, which is an absolutely terrible thing to do to them, the best solution is to proactively protect what you want to keep unscratched. That is why I like these plastic sheets. We have tried covering the couch and chairs, plastic packing tape, and everything else. I like these because they are big, cover a large area, and actually work. The cats avoid the furniture now and stick to their scratching posts and the roped part of their cat towers.I will say that having plastic on the slides of all your furniture looks a bit odd, but it is far better than raggedly furniture that has been scratched up mercilessly by the feline members of the household.Recommended purchase!

These are an absolute necessity in my house with my cat's murder mittens. If you are a new cat parent and have never used something like this before, I implore you to buy these and please learn from my mistake and do not use something like clear packing tape, because that *will* damage your furniture.Value: With the 14 inch size I was able to cover a large area of a sectional sofa where the cat likes to take out his aggressions, and still have plenty left over. I didn't need to use the tacks that were included but they could be useful if I decide to move the pieces somewhere else. The smaller pieces worked well on the sides of the sofa cushions. The 18 piece pack is a great value for the price.Ease of use: I don't know at this point if they will be removed easily but I have never had issues in the past with this type of product. My sofa is woven fabric like courdory, probably polyester, but this type of product has worked on wool boucle type fabric also. These were sticky enough to reposition and remain on the furniture.Purpose: These do act as a good deterrant for my cat to not scratch. I also have plenty of scratching posts around for him.Appearance: They are shiny but I don't find it to be that noticeable. The matte finish products I've seen are pricier and are still noticeable. It's a tradeoff -- do you want shredded furniture or a little plasticy shine? And they are better than Granny's clear vinyl furniture covers!

My cat's not happy with me. I've now covered up his favorite spot to claw on the back of my recliner. I cut one of the sheets in half and used it on both back corners and on one of them, I used the little screw in pins as supplied. Although, I think the adhesive back might be enough. The material is nearly invisible and I'm confident that it will peel off when I want to remove it. Tonight, my cat came around back of my chair to hook on it as always....and his claws just slid on the plastic. He walked around front and just stared at me.... Good aquisition, I'll keep using it as necessary.

I’ve never use this kind of protection before, always used the double sided sticky mats on furniture. I must say I’m kind of liking this, the two-sided sticky collects dirt dust and cat hair quickly and is quite thin so once that happens it’s not sticky anymore and does not deter the cat from clawing. But this product is quite heavy and does not have that problem it does show up more because it’s shiny and where it is placed remind me of furniture covered in plastic. But I will say that I have not seen any of my cats attempt to claw where this is covering the fabric. I believe it is too heavy and slick for the cats claws to actually penetrate, like I said they haven’t even attempted so it is hard to tell. It seems to go on flat surfaces quite nicely and where I try to put some on a couch with a seer sucker cover for protection, it did fall off with the ceiling fan blowing on it so I had to use the upholstery tacks. Added to Photos, hopefully you can see the shininess on the flat surface and you will see that it conforms fairly well to the odd shape surface but because of the heavy rigid material I can’t conform in all directions. I am sure if I cut it into strips it would’ve conformed quite well to the ridges on this antique high back chair. This chair is in a private bedroom so I was not concerned about the look and stopping to cut strips. It was all about protection.
