This elastic is great for the mask making, though the masks I need is for dusty lint protection. I work in a factory so masks are needed. The only downside to this elastic was the chemical or petroleum smell. I didn't like that. Smell did wash away once I washed the finished products.

It was less than 1/8 inch. Very stretchy which is fine but too much give for what I intended to use it for. Returning item.
