I feel these are a great value. I did manage to break 2 of them, but that was my fault for cutting a chunk of 1/2" aluminum free in a hole. The free piece of aluminum jammed into the bit and it broke.I was also able to use the same bit (dry) for several hours cutting out aluminum parts.Initially I was a little concerned since many suggestions for milling aluminum are to use a single flute bit at low speed. With 3 flutes it seemed like there would be no way to get a good cut. I'm happy with the results I was getting running at about 500mm/min, 9200rpm with .75mm depth of cut. I did use air at times to remove the shavings.I believe the most important factors for milling aluminum is a good accurate spindle, sturdy CNC, securely fastened material, and the right bit. If you have coolant that is probably best, but my CNC isn't really setup for coolant.

I ran these endmills for hours in 7075 aluminum on a Haas mill. They're incredibly sharp and leave an amazing surface finish it you get your feeds and cut parameters right. Every bit as good as any tool costing more.

I used them in 6061 AL and had no problems. They were clean chips that never attached themselves to the work.For the price, it is a definite good deal.

Mehrschneidige Fräser für Alu sind schwer zu bekommen, wenn man die, die es gibt, nicht testen kann. So kauft man relativ günstig ein paar hoch-angepriesene Fräser ... und ruckzuck ist nach kaum 5mm Fahrt der Fräser vollgeschmiert und zerfetzt einem die gewünscht glatten Kanten der Taschen oder Konturen.Vielleicht taugen die Fräser für Holz, Kunststoff, aber man bekommt ja nicht mal fräsbaren Kunststoff für Prototypen.Die Fräser sehen gut aus, die Beschichtung ist aber, wei öfter schon von anderen Kunden erwähnt, nach ein paar mm Fahrt komplett ab.Ich werde dennoch weitere Versuche machen mit hoher Drehzahl und wenig Vorschub, das kosten beim CNC aber immer gleich wahnsinnig Zeit...Abgeminderte Kaufempfehlung...

Eigentlich hatte ich trotz der guten Bewertungen für die Fräser erwartet, dass sie bei meinem Test mit 7075er Alu schnell schlapp machen, aber zumindest der, den ich im Einsatz hatte, hat seinen Job überraschend gut gemacht. Zuvor sind mir ein paar hochwertigere Fräser bei genau diesem Material recht schnell verschmiert, was aber auch an der Frässtrategie lag. Diesmal änderte ich sie und wollte nicht wieder einen teuren Fräser opfern, also wurde einer aus dem Set fürs Schruppen und Schlichten verwendet. Das Ergebnis überrascht mich. Die Abdrücke an der Stirnfläche sehen übler aus als real und die Seiten sind für meine Verhältnisse perfekt.Der Fräser sah danach aus wie neu.Wenn es in dieser Qualität günstige Fräser mit größerem Durchmesser gibt, kommen die auch noch ins Haus.

these are very nice, used in a nomad cnc to cut aluminum. was able to push the machine faster due to the cutter design and coating. Highly recommend as an alternative to the nomad 1/8" endmill.

Use the correct feeds and speeds and it cuts smooth without issues. This is a small cutter and cant be pushed to fast with slow spindle speeds. I used a feed rate of 1.5" per min and a cut depth of 0.03" deep. Slow? yes its slow but with a spindle speed of 2500 rpm it worked for me.Great buy.

These are the best 1/8" endmills I have ever used in Aluminum. In the past I have spent 10x what this cost on a single cutter.These have the perfect rake for cutting aluminum and plastics. The coating holds up very well and the bits last a long time. I would recommend these cutters to anyone looking for a general purpose cutter for aluminum or plastics. Leaves a beautiful finish and takes a beating.
