I melted solder into the terminals so I didn't have to crimp them.A little hard to get the lugs into the plug when you are putting it together but they stay in once they are pushed into place. No instructions providedSilicone caps seem great but you need to add silicone sealant on the wire side for a waterproof seal

They were just what I expected. I came up with a new way to connect the wires using 1/4 oz. led sinkers. A lot cheaper than solder.

I took a bunch of photos with a tape measure for size reference, since these 175A connectors are much larger than the more common 50A gray "Anderson" connectors. This is a set of two nice quality red plastic heat resistant 175A Anderson-style quick connects/disconnects, aka SB 175A-600V. While the listing mentions 12V and that is one of the most common battery systems, the printing molded on the red connector indicates they are rated for up to 600V and 175Amps. If you are familiar with the more common 50Amp gray Anderson connectors these are like huge versions that are built for 1/0AWG battery cables. In addition to the two heat resistant red plastic housings and four tin coated copper terminals (that you'll need to crimp yourself, which does take a good crimper) there is a pair of soft black silicone (synthetic rubber) dust covers -- there is one variation where the dust covers are made entirely of black silicone including the retainer loop/cable that keeps it from getting lost and another version where the just the cover itself is black silicone and the part that retains it is a metal wire cable. These connectors are colored red to help show that they will not connect with normal gray connectors, due to a different pattern in the plastic housing where the two connectors snap together (see the pictures and compare it to a 175A gray Anderson-style connector). These connectors are much bigger than 50Amp gray connectors and are suitable for things like winches and charging forklifts as well as quick disconnects on battery cables in a RV house battery system or solar power system to allow the batteries to be accessed (if they need water) or moved around more easily. They also make it easy to swap out inverters in a 12V solar power system where their 175A rating might be important.

I recently got my hands on the W LAIWO 175A Battery Quick Connect/Disconnect Connectors, and they're proving to be a solid choice for my snow plow winch connections. These connectors are sturdy, with silver-coated components that handle high currents without a hitch. It’s clear they aren’t meant for disconnection or connection while under load, which is crucial for safety and efficiency in operations. The set includes two robust red heat-resistant plastic housings, four tin-coated crimp terminals, and a soft rubber dust cover that's smartly designed with a loop to prevent loss—a thoughtful feature for anyone like me who's out in the elements. The connectors snap together with a reassuring latch, ensuring a secure and stable connection that's essential when you're relying on heavy-duty equipment. For anyone dealing with vehicles or outdoor equipment in dusty or rough environments, these connectors come highly recommended. The additional dust covers with lanyards are particularly beneficial, keeping the connectors clean and functional no matter the conditions. Whether it’s for cars, trucks, boats, RVs, or trailers, these connectors are up to the task. They're perfect for setups like charging stations or winch power systems, where you can manage the current with a switch. This is a pair of Anderson style quick connect/disconnects. The set is rated at 12V and 175 amps and can handle 1/0 AWG battery cables. The set comes with the two red heat resistant plastic housings, four tin coated crimp terminals and one soft rubber dust cover. The housings are color coded to ensure that the correct connectors are used with each other. The dust cover has a loop that holds it to the housing so it won't get lost. These are great connectors for cars, trucks, boats, RVs or trailers. They can be used for winch power systems.Would recommend these to anyone.

"Not for interrupting current" and "For disconnect use only" are written on the body of these connectors. With that in mind then these connectors are suitable for charging stations where the current is switched on and off via a switch. The rating, also written on the body of these connectors is "175A-600V". Build quality of the body and plug contacts is beefy.

The wire terminals snapped in very nicely into the connector housing. It's always good to hear that "Click" sound when you insert the wires/terminals. The connecter plugs fit extremely well. While they are tight, they are not too hard to detach either with a little tugging and rocking.
