normally have great luck with empi parts but this pressure plate has dowel pins that protrude past the bolt heads and were hitting the bosses for the clutch release shaft i had to grind about an 1/8 inch off the boss to get it to clear it would lock up solid every 130 degrees of rotation . 1600 dual port with 1968 swingarm trans axle

I bought this for a VW 1915cc build. I took the flywheel, counter weighted crank, and this pressure plate to a balancer to have it dynamically spin balanced. The add says its factory balanced, but is not.. It was way out. We had add a lot of weld weight on one end and do a bunch of grinding on the other side to get it to spec. It was out a full 4.0 ounce inches, spec we were looking for was 0.4 ounce inches. For a comparison we put a Kennedy PP on right out of the box on and it was only out 0.6 ounce inches.Moral of the story unless like your engine shuddering like a naked man in a blizzard pony up for a Kennedy pressure plate.
