I'd give a 4.5 if that were possible. Khaos is The Name in these for the aftermarket. 1" steel is overkill for me with a 12-ton press that I bought minus any tooling, and I knew that, but wanted to be ready if I later needed to use with a larger press. These are rough cut for CNC, not as good as listing photos, so will be filed on cut surfaces, and that's okay, but I expected better. Plates are very flat, and I'll accept they're high-strength steel as advertised. Packaging was a Priority Mail padded envelope wrapped over to fit, covered with fiber reinforced packing tape. Made it to Oregon intact. Just. Some other sellers charge considerably lower prices, and are probably worth a look. Between Khaos's reputation, the thickness being much more than I currently need, and the ad copy for high-strength steel, I'll not be worried about failure while using.
