These logs look great but they are producing black soot that is that is accumulating on the front of my fireplace. Maybe it's just a one time thing. We cleaned it and we will see if it happens again and if it does we will return them.

These were the prettiest of the 3 brands I ordered. The logs had more depth and visual texture because of the better paint job than the others. I am mounting a 30” towel bar that we stacked the fake logs in it. We have an electric birch fire log set in the firebox, but the firebox, because of a builder misjudgment, is off center. We want to balance the firebox with “firewood” in a rack, rather than the fireplace tools that are there now. It’s for our airbnb, so using real wood is a potential problem for guests who might think they could really burn the display wood! I’ll post another pic when we get it all installed. However, after looking at it for a day, we ended up doing natural birch logs because outside of the fireplace they looked a little hokey for our very expensive 5-star Airbnb. But we did keep a set to keep in our wood burning fireplace for the off season.

These look fantastic! We haven't put a ton of fire to them (only about 20 minutes or so total) but they held up just fine and didn't darken. Will update review if something happens to change my opinion of them.

Affordable, and looks decent out of the box…but blackened within an hour of use… perhaps I should have known better?

Wanted to love this product because the logs were very pretty when hey arrived. However, i lit them in the gas fireplace for not even two minutes and they turned black and started to crumble.
