I got these for a door hinge that had stripped out on me. I added a little wood glue, and set these in the holes, waited for a day and reattached the hinges. So far they've been rock solid, and it's been a could months. Definitely recommend.

I purchased a home and I was trying to adjust a door that was off. I noticed that one one of the hinges, 2 of the screws were loose and you couldn't tighten them because the hole was too big for the screw. I thought i was screwed (no pun intended) and then saw this solution. I figured I'd give it a shot. While not perfect, it does secure those screws in better than previously. Be careful not to over tighten otherwise the screw will just turn the plastic in the hole. Previously the screws would turn at the slightest turn of a screwdriver, now the screws won't move if you try it with the same force.

This item came in a generic ziploc bag and did not come with all 15 pieces. I can not say if they worked because I am returning them without using. This looked like someone bagged these in their kitchen. Better packaging should be considered.

Have you ever had a situation where the hole was just too wide for the screw from screwing and unscrewing? Well, here's your answer... sort of. It might be useful in some limited situations (more on that in a sec) but generally you're better of just using a larger screw.Onto limited situations. In a situation where a larger screw won't do, either because you don't have it or because it won't fit through whatever you're trying to attach, this indeed may be a solution. Don't expect a solid grip like you would with wood. You may also need to drill the hole a bit to widen it (!) for this anchor to fit properly. Then, you do need to cut anchor to size, especially if you don't have a through-hole. The biggest issue I ran into is that the anchor would just turn along with screw and not bite into the surrounding wood. This seems to happen more on smaller diameters for some reason. I supposed you could try using a slightly larger diameter section of the anchor and hammer it in, but I didn't have enough of stripped holes to get enough experience with this.

Zero instructions came with this item. It's impossible to tell how it works.

What a time saver! Oh, I'm going to miss all those hours I spent trying different households remedies (not really). These are VERY easy to apply and has helped me fix so many strips screws due to faulty materials I've been dealing with. So easy to apply, so easy to snap away, and you end up with a fixed problem. The state various materials you can use them on but I've only used them on wood, so I can only attest to their effectiveness on wood and they are VERY effective at securing the screws. Not much else to say I mean they work and they're a HUGE time saver. Grab some, you won't be sorry. 5-Stars.

These are uper easy to use and fixes the stripped hole problem, which can be tough to fix. You just basically jam or tap it in the stripped hole with a hammer, snap or cut it off at the appropriate level and screw in a new screw and voila, you have a good, tight screw in a previously stripped hole. These are great. Everyone that doesn't have an on call maintenance staff should have a set of these in the drawer!

Used to putting in match sticks in the wholes. These are interesting and adaptive of the diameter. Will update when I use them.
