My house has plaster walls and using wing nuts to hang things was getting tiresome. I had these left over from my old house and decided to give them a try. They hold pretty solid in plaster. I have had one or two where the anchor started to sort of squish out while putting the screw in. But it is behind a picture, so who cares?

I ran out of these mid-project and had them delivered the next day. They’re not as flimsy as some others and did the trick.

I needed some large anchors for a wall shelf I was mounting. I could never have found this specific size at Home Depot or Lowe’s.

My review is based on a comparison of these anchors for sale at Home Depot. The plastic is a little harder, but this has no negative effect because it opens the blades well when the screw is inserted. It is shorter, which may not be suitable for wider sheetrock (see photo). It does not have the two side flaps (see arrow in photo) that open with the screw. This gives you less grip, so you want to make sure the anchor goes into the hole tight. Also use suitable screws (not wide ones), because it easily slips on the sheetrock and starts to rotate inside the hole.In general, it is a good product (and a good price) for small jobs where a lot of weight is not required.

I use these and they are OK.. But.. I found I could cut the end off these then push them into the hole of my pegboard.. and then screw into it to mount stuff. Very Very handy. I have mounted a dozen things up on my pegboard using these. I used to hate to drive a screw into the pegboard with the "foever hole" there, and so I now go through all the things I want to hang on my pegboard, and installing them. Looks cool and if I want to move it I just unmount the item, and push the blue plastic piece inside (behind) the pegboard.VERY nice.
