used this to polish my floors at home. did an amazing job. Just took some time. The grits seem to hold up well and they do polish as they should. the Velcro holds up very well but i wouldn't expect it to hold up forever. Luckily these aren't horribly expensive.

The GLSMSLP Wet/Dry Quartz Polishing Kit is designed for polishing quartz, granite, and engineered stone surfaces. It caters to both professional and DIY users looking to restore or enhance the finish of their stone surfaces.Pros: • Versatility: Suitable for both wet and dry polishing, making it adaptable to different working conditions. • Comprehensive Kit: Likely includes multiple grit options for a full polishing process, though specific details are unclear. • Durability: Designed for use on hard surfaces like quartz and granite, ensuring reliable performance.Cons: • Limited Information: Specific details about the kit’s contents, performance, and user feedback are not readily available. • No Customer Reviews: Lack of reviews makes it difficult to assess real-world effectiveness or ease of use. • Potential Cost: Depending on the kit’s features, it may be priced higher than alternatives with similar capabilities.Rating: 3/5 StarsThe GLSMSLP Wet/Dry Quartz Polishing Kit appears to be a functional option for polishing stone surfaces. However, the lack of detailed product information and customer feedback makes it challenging to fully evaluate its value and performance. It may be worth considering if you need a versatile polishing solution, but comparing it with other well-reviewed kits is recommended before purchasing.

What I don't know yet is will it work on scratched glass? Marble, tile, OK.When dry sanding always use a respirator, not just a paper dust mask. Paper masks are good enough for sawdust, but not for anything finer or more toxic. You don't want marble dust in you lungs. Don't try to play the tough guy.

We use these to polish large rocks. They work great for us but we will eventually move to 6". These seem very durable and they do a good job for our use.I would deffinately order these again and would recommend them if you need to do some polishing on hard materials.

I got this set mainly to fix a hand-sized area of my granite countertop that has lost its polish. The area is smooth to the touch and eye, even under magnification, so I think it only needs to be re-polished. The quartz polishing kit has no instructions. Instructions might mention something about:1) what speed should be used,2) how you should proceed through the grit sizes,3) how much pressure should be applied,4) how it should be moved over the surface5) how and how often to apply water for the higher grits, and6) what might reasonably be expected.I do some lapidary work, so the process of working through progressive grits and finally ending up with a polished surface is at least familiar to me.Before using it on my countertop, I decided, that for practice, I’d start on the flat surface of a rock sample composed of large quartz clasts set in a slightly softer matrix (first two photos). Since the surface was already flat and free of scratches and saw marks, I started with the 800 grit and proceeded to the 1,500 and 3000 grit. I used a water from a spray bottle, re-wetting it often. The first thing I noticed is that the part that holds the abrasive pads wobbles slightly making it difficult to hold the pad against the surface without it chattering. I experimented with my grip and drill speed to minimize this effect. I controlled the drill speed just with the trigger and I would estimate it at a little less than half speed. After going through the 800, 1,500 and 3,000 grits, it produced a low polish (see photos 1 & 2). I couldn’t seem to get any higher polish. I took the second photo to show the shine from the polish.I started very carefully on the counter top with the 3,000 grit which didn’t affect it much, so I backed up to the 1,500 grit and then back to the 3,000 grit. After perhaps a half hour of effort it looks a little different but really no better.I might be able to do better with the larger kit that includes grits up to 10,000 grit, or if I had some instructions for the use of this kit. The most common comment I found on the web, when searching for how to repair or re-polish a countertop, is to have a professional do it. So, it doesn’t seem like a trivial task to re-polish a section of countertop. The product is described as a “wet/dry quartz polishing kit”, and that it can be used on “granite, marble, stone, concrete, and tile” so it should be suitable on my “granite” countertop. I’m giving it three stars because I gave it my best shot and I feel that the results overall are marginal.ProsThe polishing disks seem to be well madeComes with an adapter for use with a common drillBasically, works up to a low polishAffordableConsHas no instructionsThe disk holder with the adapter wobbles slightly making it very difficult to hold flat to the surface without chattering. The 7 disk set seems to only produce a low polish

My wife recently had me replace the cabinet and countertop in our guest bathroom with a newer quartz countertop. One of my daughters friends put her face wash on the quartz and it ended up etching the quartz. We tried a bunch of different cleaners and polishes to remove the marks, but nothing worked. I ordered this kit to try and re-polish the surface and remove the marks. I am not a stone master at all, so this was a last resort before scrapping the whole thing or calling a professional (which in hindsight was probably the better choice). I will say that these pads did remove the etching, however they removed everything else too. While I am not great with a buffer, I was able to attach these to my rotary and wet sand the marks out. Having a combination of rougher to smoother pads was nice as I had to get pretty aggressive to get the marks out, much more than I thought. Once I had the marks out, I used the higher grit pads to smooth out the surface and get it back to a nice, smooth finish. All I have left to do is seal the top again and it should be pretty close to good as new. These pads were just as advertised and did exactly what I needed them to do, so I am a happy customer. For less than twenty bucks I was able to get our countertop back in shape and now I know how to fix it the next time someone etches it again, which is bound to happen given the plethora of beauty products my daughter and her friends use these days.
